I haven’t even upgraded my account yet.
Truth be told… one reason things have been a little quiet around here lately is because I was planning on exiting for awhile. Trying to meet the demands of everyday life, along with the task of maintaining this website, as well as finding time to play the game used to fuel said website… well… it’s been a little too much for me these days.
With Deathwing preparing to tear Azeroth asunder in just a few short weeks, now is a great time to venture out and snatch up any rare pets you’ve been thinking about taming. Once Cataclysm hits, it’s possible some of them may not be around anymore. Certain one-of-a-kind pets like Araga and Strider Clutchmother may be on the verge of extinction, as well as quite a few other unusual and/or rare spawn pets.
The other thing to keep in mind is that the world of Azeroth as we know it will be changing forever. The next few weeks can be a nice opportunity to take it easy, go hunting for some pets, and see the world. We’ve got two dozen available slots now and a lot of new special pet abilities to play with… go have some fun.
The screenshot at the top of this post was sent in by a long-time reader, Semilac. I have to say… that is one impressive stable, not to mention a very cool WoW Hunter pet montage. All four Spirit Beasts, King Krush, Nuramoc, Uhk’loc, … very well done!
Ghostcrawler has apparently been spotted on the beta realms in the southwest waters of Vash’jir. …and he’s packing his Nerfbat in the event any courageous adventurers dare try to tangle with him. This cracks me up. Initially I thought this to be a joke, but now I’m not so sure. I mean it could just be an Easter Egg goof …
…makes me sad. I saw this thread over at the Petopia forums and I grew kind of bummed over what’s (possibly) become of Grunter in Cataclysm. He’s gone all evil-like.
Although he’s gone largely un-talked-about here on the site, he is one of my favorite old school pets.
Perhaps the reason he’s been overlooked is because he’s one of the premier stabled pets I have for my Dwarf hunter. Yes… at one point in time, I was a conflicted hunter who saw Dwarvenism as the proper path – that and engineering.
The latest hunter talent build for Cataclysm indicates a couple of buffs for Beast Masters. Beast Mastery Talent Changes in the Latest Cataclysm Beta Build (12604) Cobra Shot now increases the duration of Serpent Sting on the target by 6 sec. (Up from 3 sec) Bestial Wrath no longer costs focus. (Source) As I’ve been saying, it’s still too early …
