For those of you that want to know why I shot Loque’nahak before I tamed him – it’s called “tagging”. When I created this video Sholazar Basin was teeming with other players who would kill him for the achievement, and other hunters looking to tame him or kill him out of spite, should another hunter happen upon him first and start taming. By damaging him you were ensuring that you’d at least get the rare cloak loot if someone were to try and sabotage the taming. Also, players will be less apt to try and kill Loque when he appears gray to them.
This was arguably one of the most exciting taming moments ever experienced throughout my entire WoW tenure.
