Hunter Macros Updated… Finally!

My New Favorite Macro For Beast MasteryI finally sat down last night and updated the “Useful Hunter Macros” page with my most recent collection of WotLK compliant and relevant macros. There are some Beast Mastery specific macros included in there, but none exclusive to other Hunter builds. I even added a small section near the bottom that contains a few simple macros I use while playing my level 19 Twink Hunter.

If you’re looking for some new macros, try a few of them out. Hopefully you’ll find some that are useful. 🙂

If you don’t have the new all-in-one mount macro, I know you’re going to need that one.

  2. I do all my movement with the mouse, aside from the occasional strafing. My keybinds could be tightened up a bit, but I’m used to it now so it doesn’t bother me.

I still have a few keybinds that I need to improve, but I’m hoping to get one of those Logitech G13s, which will really make things flexible.

  3. Just found your site. This is very cool. Your keyboard outlay is outrageous. I have finaly started to key bind and thought is was learning something in the last week. Yours is ridiculous (in a good way). I know I am a noob, but it looks like you have it laid out so that you can play with you hands on the home row. How do you move if that is the case? I currently use a lay out that where I bound directions and 5 shots + a simple “sic em” for my pet. This allows me to move, straif and use my mouse with fair ease. Obviously I am a long ways from where you are at. My build is eerily similar to yours, and although I like it, I did want to tweak it ever so slightly. To see a build close to mine is very cool. Sorry for rambling. Props for the site, glad to see another BM out there.

  4. I just updated the macros page under the Shots area with my advice on shot rotation, /castsequence macros, etc.

and BTW, thanks for the kind words Flushae.

  5. You have to mash it just like any other shot rotation macro.

The problem that I’ve found with it, is that it only works great in ideal situations with no movement, which basically is only vs. the target dummy.

In just about every boss fight there will be times when we have to move, feign death or misdirect – these will all upset the rotation of that macro.

In TBC we only really had to worry about Steady Shot, which made our rotation very easy. That’s not the case these days, but it definitely makes things interesting.

I’m going to update that section on the macros page, so check back in a little bit.

  6. heya Garwulf, love your site I check it out everyday. I setup the macro i saw in your list, as a 1 button kill macro,

“/castsequence reset=target Arcane Shot, Serpent Sting, Steady Shot, Steady Shot, Arcane Shot, Steady Shot, Steady Shot, Steady Shot, Arcane Shot, Steady Shot, Serpent Sting”

but it didnt seem to work for me unless I just kept hitting the button over and over to make the shots happen, I expected it to automatically do it each one in order. Did I misunderstand the point of this macro?
