There’s really only one quote that sticks out in my mind…
“Great news, everyone! The slime is flowing again!”
This is one of the lines that Professor Putricide shouts out during the Rotface encounter. It’s not really all that funny or amusing, but it’s memorable to me because I’d heard it so many times.
Also… just prior to one of our guild’s attempts on Rotface, one of our members said the first part of the line in chat (Great news everyone!) – getting the whole raid group optimistically curious. When they replied, “the slime is flowing again!”, there was a resounding ugh… It was pretty funny at the time, and I’d imagine this same joke was played out on many servers, but it was the first time we’d heard it. 😉
I also like… from the same encounter…
“I think I made an angry poo-poo. It gonna blow!”
That’s Rotface’s classic line just as the big ooze is about to blow. Bathroom humor at its finest.

Absolutely loved this post — your pick of that boss quote really struck a chord! It’s those unforgettable lines—delivered just when you thought you had a handle on the fight—that forge the most memorable raid moments.
It reminds me of how, in-game, preparation (or having that helping hand when time is short) makes all the difference. Recently, I used a WoW raid boost (https://wowvendor.com/shop/wow/buy-wow-pve-raid-boost/) to help me bridge the gap—getting me fully geared and ready for those epic boss tirades without months of grind. It made those next few pulls feel all the more exhilarating. Fantastic choice of quote — that’s exactly the kind of moment that keeps us coming back for more!
“SUCH INSOLENCE!! SUCH ARROGANCE!!!”
Despite the fact that people hated the Occulus, I loved the Malygos fight and damn near all of his quotes in it. I know, I’m weird. Get over it. =P
I am an idiot…that’s not Malygos. Although the name escapes me at the moment, I do mean the boss fight from Occulus. I ask for some understanding over my confusion as it was a late night celebrating the Bruins Stanley Cup victory. GO BRUINS!!!
Festergut – “Daddy, I did it!”
Heard this many times. It made wipes on this boss a little more tolerable.
It became my guild’s “catch phrase” in vent when we beat a new boss.
Not really from in game, it’s from the trailer for patch 2.3 “Gods of Zul’aman”.
Zul’jin:
“Dis was our land. TROLL land. We Amani was here before anyone! Da’ elves and dere Alliance came to drive us out. But we never give up. We never forget…
Da’ elves took my eye. I cut off my own arm to escape ‘dem… and now, ‘de fight alongside da’ HORDE!? I SPIT on da’ Horde! I hate you, I hate you all… But I got a surprise for ya’ now, so come on in…

XT Deconstructor: “New toys? For me?”, in a child’s voice. I heard people saying it in vent all through ICC, long after anyone was still fighting that boss.
Arthas: “you will beg for mercy — and I will deny you”. Oooh, it’s chilling. I heard it very many times right before he started dishing out the icy pain.
