Any of you folks play WoW on a mac?
I switched to a Mac over two years ago and haven't looked back.

Macbook pro, late 2008, standard box unit. 2.53, Nvidia double graphics card (do NOT make me look) with 4gb ram and a 300gb hd.
Would love a new pro, love toting my slaughter around. Not sure what to get, have heard the new graphics cards offerings are less than pleasant.

Mac guy here too. Mbook Pro with the dual core processors and the NVIDIA GeForce 9400M, sweet action. I love it and will never look back. There's a part of me that wants to get a desktop to play on, but my wife wants me to finish school before we do

I'm on a 20″ iMac (2008 aluminium). I'm looking forward to the 4GB of RAM I've got on order arriving…
I am vaguely considering the idea of getting a PC for gaming but it'll probably never happen.

That's one thing I wish was better for Mac, selection of games. Of course now all i really need to do is get a copy of Windows XP and repartition my hard drive and run both OS and Windows, but I think I would feel dirty putting windows programming on my mac…like intentionally giving it herpes or something.

Have you tried Steam? I play a few through there. Love my Day of Defeat and Team Fortress 2 (but it makes me motion sick of I play too long. lol)

Steam is great for Mac gamers. A buddy of mine tipped me off to it some months ago, and they have loads of Mac games available.
The only one I've purchased so far has been Torchlight, but there are several on there that look interesting. Only problem is finding the time to play them all.
As far as the windows on a mac issue… I used boot camp for the first few months after I switched to mac, then after a fluke HD fail I decided to do without after getting the new HD. I've been without Windows for 2 years and don't miss it a bit.
There are really only two things that have chapped my hide as an OSX user… lack of options for peripherals (e.g., gaming mice) and no real solid option for financial software.
My Logitech meeces have both now been put out to pasture, so when looking for a new mouse… Razer seems to be the only really viable option for mac gamers.
As far as the accounting software goes… I tried out Mint.com and have been very happy with that.

I just bought the Razer Naga, I love the shape of it but not got to grips with the buttons yet. I do like Razer mice though. I'm also waiting for my Logitech G13 to show up, mmmm, key bindings.
I use http://www.pure-mac.com/ which lists loads of awesome mac apps. Not sure where the accounting software comment came from but I like Billings.

I just ordered the newer Razer Deathadder
In the meantime, I'm stuck with this horrible piece of crap mouse my wife's letting me borrow. It's been frustrating trying to “really play” using this mouse, so I've just reduced myself to the occasional heroic and some world exploration.
I'm spoiled I tell ya.
Anyway, I hope that this new Razer is at least close in awesomess to that of my old G5

…gar… avid Quickbooks user, and I wrote my own FMP database for clients. it seems to work well for me. The two can bridge, I just haven't done it.
would it help your hardware issue if you knew I raided on my trackpad, no mouse? (and groans go up all around…)

WHOOOT! I knew I liked you!
I do have a mouse, and I do use it from time to time, however, i've discovered that my timing through keyspamming and keybinds, a la Kripparian's style of play, nets a much higher dps for me than using a mouse. Hell… the right hand is not for a mouse, but my pinot grigio anyways, right?

I'm still using my early 2006 first-edition 20 inch iMac Core Duo, but it copes really well with WoW, in spite of having an oldish 128MB graphics card. Only in really big, noisy, flashy fights do things tend to slow down a bit. Oh, and in Dal of course, but for a different reason.
I bought a Belkin nt52e controller some time ago, but I gave up on it simply because it was so different to using the keyboard after a couple of years on WoW. But in the last few weeks I've been re-training as a new hunter (now lvl 46) and I'm finding I need many more of my abilities than I ever used before (on my main) right at my fingertips in the heat of battle. So I'm trying again with the controller, and making definite progress now.
I can't get along with a trackpad even for normal work, so I'm full of admiration (or something) for those of you who raid with it!
Oh, and although I'm right handed, I'm learning to put my tea mug down with the handle pointing to the left. If push comes to shove, I can still have a swig of (usually cold) tea while running away…

I cracked up reading this. You are probably right. My son is all “get a mouse,” when I ask him how I can continue to improve my dps. My question to him – sheesh, how much more Goddess-like will that make me anyways? Can't improve much on perfection.

5 year mac user here! I have the same setup as Garwulf and love it except for when I go into Lord Marrowgar. I have never had any issues with “lockup” in game until Marrowgar. I'm sure there are some settings within the game I could change to prevent this but the min he goes into Bone Storm I freeze up until he stops. Suggestions?
Currently using Belkin n52te but I'm saving up for the Logitech G13 which feels more comfortable and has softer keys. The Belkin keys are sticky and sometimes require a couple of depresses to register and the joystick is horrid. I move using the mouse then cast through the game pad.

The only place I have semi-consistent issues is in Wintergrasp. For some strange reason, whenever I approach the east workshop from GY area, I have about a 1 in 5 chance of DC'ing. It's reeeallly annoying.
Apart from that, I have no other issues in-game. Marrowgar was fine for me, and I have my settings at Ultra.
