Got King Krush last night! I'm hoping I can bag Aotona and Old Cliff Jumper here shortly. At least I don't have to sweep around Sholazar as much any more. I have an Aliiance friend that I'm going to try to see if he'll help me get the Oil-Stained Wolf, too. I haven't seen anyone with that pet, yet.

I'm with Anj. It's been a heck of a lot of fun to go out and tame all these guys. I think Blizz did a great thing by giving us more stable slots. Now I don't have to worry about dropping a pet that you can't get anymore, have sentimental value with, or was so hard to get you don't want to go hunting it again.
Most of the Vanilla and BC pets were easy to get. Nuramoc took about 5-6 trips to Netherstorm and Araga was tough just because of the spawn time.
@Abby you'll have a lot of fun running around and searching. Pretty exciting.

I'm with you guys, now that I've got Skoll I've been venturing out more to fill up the stables. It is a lot of fun!! What pets do you guys always have with you right now? For me:
1. Skoll, aka. Fenrir- my go to guy forever as far as I'm concerned
2. King Krush, aka. Bahamut- always good to have a Devilsaur handy
3. Ice Jormungar, aka. Moustache- my farming guy when I'm leveling skinning or killing arakoa for Sha'tari Skyguard rep
4. Probably a Core Hound, but still figuring this slot out for me. Any suggestions for something that could be beneficial to a group that I'm not covering atm? I don't PvP much or I'd get a Sporebat like Tak suggested.

Aotona is now mine, and as crazy as it sounds, I think I owe it to my wife. She must be some sort of good luck charm or something.
She was flying in from a week-long training trip, due in at about 7:30. I get home at about 6 and start circling the basin, just in case he spawns. No dice. Wifey comes home, so what do I do? I immediately close the game down, properly greet her, and all the good husband-y stuff.
We chat for a bit, then she tells me she wants to unpack. I figure… Okay, let me log in really quick and do a couple laps, not thinking it could possibly pop. Mid-way through my second lap, BOOM! NPCScan goes off, I tag, trap, and tame Aotona and my collection is complete! I'm nerd rage excited. Wife-y comes in to the man cave to see what I'm doing, and I have to curb my enthusiasm. She already thinks I'm a big enough nerd.
I proudly show her my spoils from the last few weeks. She doesn't get it, but she's supportive.
Still, I give her credit for me finding Aotona. Funky spawn time, too. Like, 7:51 or something like that.
Bring on Cata! Now, to level all these bad boys (and girls) up to 
!

I laughed so hard at this because I know exactly what you mean, I have to curb the “nerd rage excitement” at times too, and my wife just laughs and says, “Oh that wolf thing is pretty! Nice job honey”, aren't supportive wives just the best

I could totally see my wife doing that as well, I think I just caught her on a good night, plus she likes it went I hunt for spirit beasts, she got excited when I told her I was waiting for a bear to show up (while hunting arc of course) and she pointed to the vast number of brown bears walking around and said, “there's one, get that one!” and I'm like no sweetheart a special bear…geez that sounds gay…but anyway she got mad because I didn't wake her up when he popped, when she found out I was hunting another “special” pet, she was on board and excited for me and came in cheering when I yelled, got him! It was also cute because my little girl came running in and clapping her hands too…adorable

That is so wicked cute!
My son and I do that, it's a great bonding tool. What else does a mom have to talk about with their teenage son? I think his father feels left out, but Golfing is just so not as exciting as finding that rare spawn, or kicking ass and saving a raid in a near-wipe, or designing a really cool addon that everyone benefits from, or…
god, i'm a geek. I'll just admit it right here and now.

LOL he would be horribly irritable if he didn't golf. I hated walking on eggshells if he didn't get out each week. He used to get angry with us if we were sad we missed a raid, and I made the mistake once of saying “at least we don't throw things for being late for a tee time.” Wrong thing to say! LOL!

My GF doesn't like WoW at all
I took the time to show her the game and how I have cool pets and stuff and her response was “Oh cool, soooo now your t-rex thingy can go uh, do stuff and you can come hang out with me!”
Although she does think that it's pretty sweet she can cook in a video game.
