Hey,
I was wondering what the general view was on specing focus fire for BM pvp?
I'm not sure if having the 15% haste buff would be worth loosing the pets frenzy effects. As far as I know frenzy effects will only increase the speed of the pets autoattacks in combat, which isnt likely to be too significant an increase in dps. The benefit would be a haste buff for when you need to generate focus quickly through cobra/steady shot (If rapid fire is down). More focus means more arcane shots and procs. Also, as soon as focus fire is active the pet will begin to gain frenzy stacks again.
I'm not sure if it would be too situational to be worth having, does anyone have any idea what the dps boost is likely to be from a pets frenzy effect?
Any advice will be much appreciated, thanks
I also asked Gar about this a while back, and his general answer was that, while it may work OK for a BG, it would be better to put the talent point somewhere else, like Improved Mend Pet, as Focus Fire was more of a PvE talent, and Frenzy stacks on your pet are just a bit too valuable to sacrifice. You're still free to try though, I'm assuming if you have a fast weapon you can put the hurt on your target a bit more.
If a Tauren Hunter and a Tauren Druid marry and have children, you will end up with BraveStarr and Thirty-Thirty.

I simply bow (no pun intended) to Gar's wisdom on this one. His youbeaut BM Hunter spec don't have it, my BM spec don't have it. For me, it's as simple as that. And besides, the true value of BM is a harder hitting pet, why lessen it with a loss to frenzy attacks?
Cheers,
D
