Frostheim’s put together a fantastic analysis of hunter set bonuses in his Scattered Shots column over at WoW.com. For those of you curious as to which set bonuses to go for, this is a must read.
I imagine most of you are familiar with his work over there, but if not, do yourself a favor and catch up on his column. There will never be another BRK, but Frost is pretty damn close. As I’ve said before, I can’t think of a better representative for the hunter community. Well… except for Pike. She’d be pretty damn good. 😉
Urgent Update
Many of you are probably already privy to this information, but I just found out that Pike is taking a leave of absence from WoW (discovered this when I went to link to her site). I won’t say I’m sad over this recent development, as she’s not done with blogging, just with WoW for the time being.
I suppose I could have rewritten this post, considering this news of Pike’s departure from WoW is weeks old, but I chose not to. The truth is, I am not much of a WoW blog frequenter (is that a word..?). I barely have enough time to devote to my own, let alone other blogs.
However, Pike’s Aspect of the Hare is on my short list of blogs I try to catch up on err… monthly..? Of all the WoW blogs on the net, Pike’s is my favorite. So what other WoW blogs do I look at..?
The list is short, so this will be easy.
OutDPS.com – Euripides does an excellent job of detailing the important facts in a concise manner. He’s got a great PvP columnist, his podcast is dope, and Eurpides is a pretty cool f**ker. OutDPS is a great hunter site.
StabilizedEffortScope.com – Rilgon tells it like it is. A straight shooter with a vast knowledge of the class. Marksman hunter extraordinaire.
WarcraftHuntersUnion.com – Frost’s blog. ‘Nuff said.
That’s about it folks. I’m sure there are dozens upon dozens of other blogs that I could and should be reading, but these are the few I think to check on occasion. As I’d said, I seldom take the time (bad Gar) to keep current with the WoW Blogosphere, but these are the sites that are on my route.
Well ok here is my 2 cents…
BRK/Pike they gonna stop playing well …good bye…
Brk could not tell how to moderate true real life from wow .So good riddance…ok
Here is a guy worryin about a game while his real life went to crap .
Pike,
well she gonna take some possible time off then come back whoopdie do.
I like this site and all the other sites and I study Kripparrian cause many teach few do what he does.Ok let the hate come, but Dan and your gun that smell’s its cause you dont play no more and u stink cause you abandoned us all…
I play wow/I allocate real time for real world and still play effectively.Sorry you could not handle a in game addiction…Did u guys contribute…yes but you dont any more so Adios.
When you guys return and Clear icc25 maybe i will take notice of your ramblings again …
I’m lucky that I have so much leisure time- It’s getting harder to do everything I want to, and while I can’t do a lot of fun stuff (play wow, blog) at work, I can read google reader and share items. I think that I might just have a subscription to every single hunter blog on the internet, and have read every article they’ve written 🙂
Thanks for the mention, by the way! (Should have opened with that. Hmm… gonna need a coffee)
You’re welcome. 😉
You should add two more to your list. The Hunter’s Mark and The Hunting Lodge. You even got a mention The Hunting Lodge’s podcast which is done by Brigwyn, the Scattered Shots writer before Frost.
Oh yeah, forgot to mention, that Lassirra was the Scattered Shots writer before Brigwyn and she runs The Hunter’s Mark.
Indeed. I enjoy both of those sites, I just don’t really have (make..?) the time to catch up on all of the WoW blogs. The ones I noted are the first that come to mind.
I’ll be putting together a resources page for visitors which is going to contain all sorts of useful links. You can bet that The Hunter’s Mark and The Hunting Lodge will be on there. Both Lassirra and Brigwyn have done a lot to be trusted voices for the hunter community.
I don’t mean any offense to the sites I neglected to mention. It’s just as I said, a very short list… 😉
