World of Warcraft Client Patch 3.1.3 is being implemented today on live servers. Thank goodness!
For those unaware, this is the patch that’s going to buff Hunters and nerf others. š
Hunter’s Mark is being buffed from 300 RAP up to 500 RAP at level 80. This means that when fully talented and glyphed, Hunter’s Mark will now be worth 750 RAP. Yikes! 3/3 in Improved Hunter’s Mark will now be a must for raiding MM. I’m strongly considering 3/3 in IHM + the glyph for BM in arena. 450 more RAP vs. marked targets will help our burst out a little for sure.
Marksman Hunters are receiving a huge buff by having mana reduced by as much as 25% for Aimed and Chimera Shots. This will help Marksman Hunter’s mana issues considerably, and may possibly result in putting Marksman at the top for Hunter raiding specs.
Here are the official patch notes:
( š Indicates changes I’m… well… happy about!)
World of Warcraft Client Patch 3.1.3
Death Knight
- Frost Presence: Armor bonus is now 60% down from 80%. š
Druid
- Improved Barkskin: This talent now also grants 80/160% additional armor while in Travel Form or not shapeshifted.
- Improved Tree of Life: The armor bonus to Tree of Life Form from this talent has been reduced to 67/133/200% bonus armor. š
Hunter
- Hunter’s Mark: The ranged attack power bonus from this ability has been increased from 300 to 500. š
- Master Marksman: This talent now also decreases the cost of Aimed Shot and Chimera Shot by 5/10/15/20/25%. š
Paladin
- Eye For An Eye: This talent now deals 5/10% of the critical strike damage taken by the paladin back at the attacker. š
- Hand of Freedom: The base duration of this buff has been reduced from 10 seconds to 6 seconds. š
Rogue
- Overkill: Talent redesigned. Now increases energy regeneration by 30% while stealthed, and for 20 seconds after breaking stealth.
Warlock
- Chaos Bolt: This spell no longer ignores damage reduction effects of the target. š
Warrior
- Blood Frenzy: This talent now provides 5/10% haste instead of 3/6%.
- Bloodthirst: Cooldown reduced from 5 seconds to 4 seconds, and rage cost reduced from 30 rage to 20 rage.
- Juggernaut: This talent now also increases the cooldown on Charge by 5 seconds. š
Items
- Death Knight PvP Gauntlets: The chance to refresh a Frost Rune when casting Chains of Ice has been removed. When equipped, these gloves now generate 5 additional runic power whenever Chains of Ice is used.
Raids & Dungeons
Ulduar – Mimiron
- The flight time of Rocket Strikes has been increased, and Rocket Strikes will try to prefer players at range.
- The Leviathan Mk II component of the V-07-TR-0N will become stunned during Phase 4 when the VX-001 component begins to cast the P3Wx2 Laser Barrage ability.
- Proximity mines now deal less damage and have a lower duration. A small arming time has also been added so proximity mines will not immediately detonate on creation.
Bug Fixes
- Druid Tier 8 Balance Set: The 4-piece bonus no longer has its effect consumed by Starfire casts in progress when it triggers. The chance for the effect to be triggered has been reduced down to 8%, as it was originally inflated to compensate.
- Ice Layered Barrier: Upgraded to item level 232. In addition, the stats in the tooltip have been correctly adjusted to 78 spell power, 48 haste rating, 16 mana per 5 seconds, 52 Intellect, and 50 Stamina.
- Pulsing Spellshield: The stats listed in the tooltip for this item were incorrect and have been adjusted. This item provides 69 spell power, 34 haste rating, 42 critical strike rating, 45 intellect, and 45 stamina.
Hey guys, I have a question, it seems since the newest patch none of my macros work. did they change something?

@ Garwy
I’ve often seen the achievement and invite in trade channel and yesterday I decided to give it a try at 22:00. Lot of hordies online but to be honest… is a real cake. It’s just a matter of knowing the fastest path to each leader and you’re done. No Hordies tried to stop us. Easier than any other PvE raid I must say…. but the bear is not THAT awesome, honestly (I wont be using it). Try to LFG for the raid: the key is having a good leader…. or it will be a disaster š
I macroed Silencing Shot with Chimera, Aimed and Arcane. No way I miss the cooldown :). While doing the 40man raid for the Alliance I *never* switched to AotV. Absolutely amazing.
Way to go Dalaila! I’m jealous. I’ve been wanting to get in on one of those raids for awhile. Seems like there’s never one happening when I’m on late at night, or else I’m already busy with something else.
I want a Black War Bear. :-\
About the Silencing Shot… maybe make a modifier macro for Silence/Steady so that you only use it when mana’s not a problem.
Well ok ok I admit that moving around some talent points… the new MM stuff *ROCKS*. I’ve been in a nice 40 man raid For The Alliance and guess what? Numbers are not huge as we were not SO greatly buffed (I did more in a nice os10 run) but…

@ GAR
I tested a new build as you suggested but in my opinion Silencing Shot drains too much mana if used on every cooldown. Can work with GOOD mana batteries but in another case… hmmmm,,, I have some doubts on its efficiency š

Hey Gar, did you know that BigRedKitty is now going to divorce? Bad stuff… Bad bad stuff. He’s now living with his son but his wife just left him. Who knows if she was sincere when she said “you play Wow too much and do not take care of your family”. Was WoW a reason to just leave him?
These things make me feel so bad, being married and so strongly “family addicted”. Ofc I play Wow whenever I can but hey… damn… My son and my wife are the nĀ°1 priority *always*.

Damn…!
I’m looking here, for a Worm with Pet, your build is good. But I’m using a Chimera and without Improved Med Pet or Glyph of Mending it’s hard to manage Pet health. Like a said before I’ll try to test your configuration today. I’m waiting for Darkmoon Faire to buy my Card Greatness + 90 Agi.
P.S. About trinket, what kind of trinket you suggest?? Dps trinkets like Gnomish Lightning Generator. Or dps improved like Mirror of truth? Or Ant-stun/movement decreased like Medalion of the Horde/Ally ????
Do you think it is impossible s3 with Full Hunter????
About Worm talent… Do you see a lot of AOE damage in arena fights??? I think it’s better take the 3 points at Avoidance and put them in Intervene and 2 Lionhearted???
I’ll try your build today. I’m focused in Arena and BG’s only.
P.S. And a full 5s with Hunter’s or 4 Hunter’s and 1 Druid ???
Awesome Dalaila! I may have to join a few PuGs this week myself.
My PvE game’s a little rusty. š
@ Gar
Well I have to think about it yes… But today after 2 PUGS 25man with my old spec I ended up being 1st and 3rd on dps chart. Note that my gear is FAR from being cool (few blues and basic BoE epics from AH and Emblems). I must say patch 3.1.3 really boosted my overall DPS for sure.

Acid Spit is about the same damage as Froststorm Breath, but it increases your DPS substantially by reducing the enemy’s armor by up to 20%. I decided to try one out because the classes that were giving me the most problems in 2v2 were Ret Paladins and Death Kinghts.
This is my worm’s build:

Hunter/Hunter in 2s would be a real challenge, but also it sounds kinda fun. I think BM/MM would be a good combo. Trueshot Aura, Silence, Ranged Disarm, TBW, Intimidation, 2 traps and 2 Aimed Shots. Sounds fun.
Hunt/Hunt/Hunt 3s would be a bloodletting. I would only run that combo if you like breaking your keyboard and putting your fist through the monitor.
And about Worm to PVP…. why worms? What your Worm talent’s? I’m using my Nuramoc to BG and Arena, in 10 arena fights, just in one; agains a Warrior; my pet have died. I want to try a Hunter/Hunter configuration at v2 arena team and Hunter/Hunter/Hunter at v3 arena team. What do you thing about this team configuration????
It’s time for a 7/57/7 spec Dalaila. Pull those 4 points from BM and buy yourself 150 RAP and an extra little DPS every 20 seconds. The change to Master Marksman helps to negate the need for Aspect Mastery.
This is what I’ll be doing anyway.

It looks like you’ll be putting some dents in the plate wearing classes for sure.
A few things to consider though…
I prefer 2/2 in GftT fpr PvP since we don’t get as many opportunities to crit due to resilience, nor do we have as many chances to sit back and shoot period. The extra 25 focus is important for the times we do crit.
You could pull one point from Frenzy and put it in GftT. 80% chance on Frenzy is decent enough.
If you plan to BG mostly, or if you’re going to arena without heals, then I would recommend Spirit Bond. It helps survivability a lot in my opinion. You’ll have less downtime without the need to bandage as often, and your pet will be getting some nice size heals as well as the passive ~600+ heal every 10 seconds.
If it were me, I’d probably chuck the 40% chance to proc cobra strikes for 2/2 in Spirit Bond. Cobra Strikes is much better in a PvE situation where you can sit back and spam steadies. Plus, like I said earlier, we don’t crit as often in PvP.
That’s my 2 cents. Your spec looks pretty good though, I just wanted to give you a couple things to consider.
This is what I’m going to start out with for PvP in 3.1.3

Well … Garwulf what do you think about this build to PVP with a Worm?? http://www.wowarmory.com/character-talents.xml?r=Warsong&cn=Trackerbr&gn=Shadow+Riders
By the way…. Why Worm to PVP??? What your Worm Talent tree???
> 3/3 in Improved Hunter’s Mark
> will now be a must for raiding MM
Damn, that’s 3 points to move from… where? My talent tree needs more points….!!!!!!!
The problems with the patch are affecting most everyone. Just sit tight and Blizzard should hopefully have this resolved within a few hours.
download goes to 10% and then asys Tracker not responding. please how do i resolve this problem.THANKS SO VERY MUCH
