After weeks of shuffling through three different mice, the replacement mouse skates for my G5
I wore through one of the mouse feet on my G5 back in September, and I haven't been the same since. I went back to using my old MX 518
Next I stole my wife's PoS G3
, and I liked it OK, but it just didn't do it for me. Many people swear by Razer, but I like Logitech.
I like the way the G5 feels in my hand… the heft, the countour, the way it glides…
One thing that bummed me about the Razer was that it was supposedly Mac-friendly, but the drivers are s**t. I played with the settings quite a bit, but could never find the sweet spot, nor could I ever get the acceleration truly turned off. The other thing that pissed me off… after every reboot, I had to go in and configure my mouse preferences, as they would reset every time after a shut-down or reboot.
Anyway, I kept on the lookout for and alternative solution, then found a place that sold replacement feet, so I ordered some. As I said, I'm back in business.
It's amazing how simple hardware issues can affect your enjoyment of the game.
What's your mouse of choice people?
And yes… I purposefully set myself up with that one particular line in the post… have at it Niika, or Drach for that matter…

My mouse of choice is my trackpad on the ole MacBook Pro.

Dang right!
Right now, not too high, I have sunbeams completely off, and the new water effects at the lowest level, and then pretty much all the other settings set to stun (low), until the OS update comes out I'll have to run on minimun power it seems. It really doesn't seem to effect anything, everything still looks gorgeous to me, maybe my mind will be completely blown when I'm able to run things at higher levels.

Razer Naga is my mouse of choice, makes keybinding ridiculously easy, as I can choose either to have it act as my usual keybinds, or it up to be my numpad, in which case, heyo! Doubled my keybinds!

I'm still using my Logitech MX1000 laser. Had it for well over a year now and it's still smooth as glass, accurate as hell, and the buttons are so easy to press.

i'm a G5 by day, Trackpad by night, and Bluetooth Keepadder by… well.. it's a theory at least. Double duty, at least, and it depends on where i'm playing. I find i am happier raiding by mouse and keybinds.

Just a standard Logitech, M100. Don't use any extra mouse buttons, so don't require anything fancy.

Ohh I just use my mouse that came with my comp. Asus lazer something or other.
I was happy when I got this lazer mouse with he comp a year ago though.. it's much nicer then a ball mouse! The boyfriend (silly DK aynways) uses a new Razer Naga like Indom, when I play on his comp I over shoot what I'm aiming for because the sensitivity is way more then I'm use to. I'm sure if I took the time to play with a high end mouse I would love it. But I'm one of those.. “if it ain't broke don't fix it” type of people.

One of the nice things about most higher end mice, is that you can adjust the sensitivity to how you prefer, I personally play with it fairly high, working on getting so that I can max the sensitivity without overshooting, but I'm still at a much higher DPI than most people.

What i use is more of a keypad than a mouse, which is the Razer nostromo. It's quite good if you dont use your mouse to click and your all about keybindings, so i'd give it a thumbs up.
