Day: 1
Today i decided to start my hunt for the lion known as Sambas. I logged on around 12 ish and decided to do the Love is in the air stuff and what now. After that i queued for random fail heroics and in teh mean time thought what the heck, why dont i just fly around looking for the lion anyway. So i did i flew around seeing only one hunter who stopped by the Victor's Point spawn. After a really bad fail at Grim Batol i decided to climb into my pvp threads and hit the bgs while i waited for something to happen. I did three beegees winning 2 of 3 i think which is pretty good for my battlegroup. I come out of SoA and boom there he is on my minimap. Sambas. The king of the twilight highlands was standing right below me. I was freaking out cause by now it was 3 oclock and i had only been camping for 3 hours. A fly down. shit i have my pet out……dismiss….stupid wolf. Frost trap down. Come here big boy. Tame started. almost…..there…..WTF. A Nelf hunter comes down and hits Sambas breaking my tame. Wow. he traps and starts his tame. At this point im shaking cause idk what to do. So i hit Sambas breaking his tame. i get aggro while trap is on cd and take damage cause he hits like a tank. tame….half life. Tame broken AGAIN. Omg im gunna find this kid and stab him in the throat. he gets aggro, feigns death as im bandaging and Sambas kills me. I had no life. he hits hard. Im freaking out. A run back to my corpse as fast as i can. asoon as im alive again i see that red dot on my mini map go from red to green. fuck my life. This kid took my pet. i was so pissed off. i followed him back to SW and called him horrible names which will not be noted. I logged off pissed off thinking well atleast he will spawn again around 9 cause hes on a 6 hour timer apperently. So 9 rolls around and i log back on. I get NPCscan this time and its all set up and im waiting for that sound. nothing. I see an orc hunter looking for him aswell as a druid helping him. Worried i get my guildie to help me cover more area. I sat around for 2 hours and no Sambas. Day one = tragic failure.

It's bad if hunters from opposing factions kill for a pet. It's ugly if it's done within the same faction.
The unwritten rule is whoever gets first tag, should be awarded the pet. Sadly many choose not to follow this. Blizzard should do something about this, like make taming inactive if the very first tag and tame has already begun.
Good luck on Sambas! Btw, someone figured out that Madexx spawns every other day on the same time… since they're both new tameable pets, maybe that spawn time would work with Sambas too.

about 10 min ago i tamed him!!!! i was fed up and ewas gunna pack it in after one more lap and right under me north of thundermar is where i got him. npcscan almost gave me a heart attack. went off without any problems. no one near by. hes a beaut and my new raiding pet! so happy right now
