He is currently my favorite pet. Think of him as Old Cliff Jumper but in ghost form (doesn't have Prowl, doesn't even have a shadow)! He can be found at around 40,83 Eastern Plaguelands (around south of Darrowshire). Just look for a dead wolf with sword through his head. Spawn time is about 2 minutes (it's even less I think because you can see two images of him in the screenshot below!)
Also, just so I won't waste my time in the area, I picked up a mastiff and Whitemane's Chapeau at Scarlet Monastery. (It's also great to see Light's Hope Chapel and Andorhal being rebuilt.)

Thanks Drach. I'm actually going through the pet skins to see what's common but uncommonly used. For example, I seldom see brown or red foxes so I'm going for them too.

I got my “Lone Hunter” today =D
It was funny, I was just doing the eastern plaugelands quest line and happened to run into him, and I totally remembered seeing this post!

There's an interesting comment that turned up at Wowhead. It said that Old Cliff Jumper is… gone.
As a fitting homage to Old Cliff Jumper, I'm using The Lone Hunter once again: same skin but it ghost form. To add to that, on my orc, I'm using the Dire Wolf mount — that's a mountable Old Cliff Jumper!

I'm actually in denial, Gar. I've been doing flybys at The Hinterlands hoping NPCscan would detect the Ol' Cliff Jumper.

Were you ever able to confirm whether or not Broken Tooth got ousted as well?
I've been through the Badlands a couple of times and not seen hide nor hair.

Haven't seen Broken Tooth, Barnabus, Zaricotl… that's all of The Badlands rares!

Hi anj-once again thanks for the tip on this guy. Given you are the pet whisperer I was wondering if you heard him pleading “Please tame me and get this knife out of my head….Oy such a headache I have” ? I mean, I even heard it and usually the only things that whisper to me are dead people. Then I figured I'd see if he spooked easy by showing him himself-talk about messing with your pets head. Someone asked does he retain his ghost form. Yes he does. Thanks anj-he's my 2nd fave right now.
Not knowing you aren't supposed to be able to achieve something often ensures that you will. Book of Agio 22:2

Great news! They have been seen in the current PTR. Of course, nothing's final yet until the patch is out.

Well thanks-everything looks good with a dwarf, we're sexy beasts. As for the tame with sword in head look, yeah I agree with you on that. Besides everytime I saw the damn sword out of the corner of my eye I'd be trying to off my pet…
