Tamed Arcturis (level 80) DPS

While trying out my specs in SW on heroic target dummy between MM and BM and then switching between corehound and spirit beast bear on BM:

Corehound (from Molten Core) was hitting around 1300 dps

Spirit beast hit over 1700 so I decided to get a screenshot after hearthing back to Dalaran.

Pay no attention to my own dps… I wasn't trying lol

Has anyone else experienced this kind of dps from their pets or is that par for the course?

I did use kill command once and it shot up to 10.
