Not seen this mentioned elsewhere, but if you can get 4 pieces of Cryptstalker gear from Naxx (http://www.wowhead.com/?itemset=-25 and http://www.wowhead.com/?itemset=794), when you are in aspect of the viper, you get a +20% attack speed bonus, that is really just a massive haste buff. I grabbed a potion of speed, slapped on aspect of the viper and got the tame down (random trash pet) to less than 12 seconds.
While you lose the dodge, the fact that the tame will be so short should mean it will be an easy tame.

Omg dude, i was just now cruising around mining in SB when my npc scan (ty to gar) went off with a king krush alert. I'm am flying around like a mad man looking for him. I casually ask in chat after a couple minutes of looking and some wonderful human being had just killed him. GAH!!! I was literally right over top of him and a second too late. Not that I would have been able to tame him by myself i'm sure, but the fact he was right there and i missed the chance has me quite sad right now. But, the dude who killed him told me some info on when and where my server time he can be found so i will try here soon and if i get em, i shall release the info. promptly. May i please repeat, GAAAHHHH! lol.

Gutted mate…
I had something similar over the week, was off work on Thursday so literally spent 8 1/2 hours flying around Sholazar skinning stuff and saw nothing. The mrs came back from work so I logged off to make some food for the family, logged back in an hour later and a mate who was looking for Loque said they found and killed KK about 10 minutes after I logged off!
After some more research, the 4 piece naxx buff isn't haste, it just artificially boosts your attack speed without affecting haste… so you still need to pack lots of haste food/potions.
