I'm new to this site, and thought I would throw some information on here about my camping/taming of Skoll. I found him at the Snowdrift Plains spawn point, 46,64 to be exact. This amazing looking pet turned up right by that brown colored portal looking thing on the ground. He looked like he needed a companion, so I jumped on the opportunity. I got lucky I think, I hear of people camping out for days looking for these spirit beasts, and I think I camped for a total of 14 hours. My only strategy was to fly between the known spawn points in Storm Peaks until he turned up. Not sure if this will work for everyone, but I thought I would throw that out there. The good thing about Skoll's spawn points is that the TLPD tends to fly around two of the points. Two for one would be good, but someone beat me to the TLPD today. But can't complain, got an awesome pet today. Hope this info is helpful to others.

Grats on getting Skoll. I still have never once seen TLPD on live. I saw him dead once on the PTR, and I've killed Vyragosa once. I always pat around for TLPD anytime I head into Storm Peaks to farm Mammoth Meat.

I found him there too. I spent a lot of time trying to find Gondria, but gave up and went in search of this guy. Found him within 5 minutes of looking. Quite a lucky catch if I do say so myself. And he is really awesome!

I'd been looking for Skoll for a while too but no hardcore camping or anything. For about a week I logged out on that spot and would login and look around and logout at random. Never saw him once.
Today while on my Death Knight, I decided to fly by the spot and sure enough there he was! There was a level 
NE hunter there too so I thought perhaps he was going to tame him so I didn't jump on my hunter. Excited that I finally saw him but saddened that I wasn't alone or my hunter.
The NE hunter wasn't there to tame him though, he was guarding him for a fellow shaman guild mate. I couldn't even plead with them to let me get my hunter because of the faction difference. <img decoding="async" class="wp-smiley" src="/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_sad.gif" alt="

Is there an average spawn time with Skoll or is it still anyones guess? He was killed on Fizzcrank @ 12:15PM EST, April 1st 2010.
edit: kind of funny, about an hour or so later, headed into the Netherstorm for a Tyrantus, I came across Nuramoc (http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=20932). I didn't tame him though due to not wanting that kind of pet but since no one was around, and it didn't look like any hunters were here looking for him, I killed him, to add to the list of bloody rare NPCs.

I think he's on a 6 hour timer.
Looking at your screenshots really makes me want to D/L the Roth UI.

Garwulf, thank you! After reading your reply about 6 hours I logged onto my hunter so that I can bring him to the area(s) where Skoll spawns. Well, when I logged out earlier this afternoon I logged out over at Grizzly Hills, and well guess what??:

So pumped right now. I logged in right beside him, so close that if he was hostile he would have been attacking me. What luck. Whew.
As per the UI, I love it. Being a Diablo fan and also keeping a neat UI. It works well in raids too and with other addons.

Grats Wooki! I've been looking for Arcturis now and again myself, but have had no luck.
I've had that happen to me a couple of times over the years when looking for rares. It's definitely a rush when you log on and see them standing right there.
I'm really happy with my present UI, but I'm considering trying out the Roth UI for one or two of my other toons.

It's funny because it all started this morning when I saw Ironback (http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=8213) just south of Revantusk Village (Hinterlands). I was on a druid alt, level 44, and Ironback was a bright red level 51. I then thought about getting on my hunter which lead to a day of searching for some rare beasts which in turn led to the finding and capturing of Arcturis and Uhk'loc (for a tanking pet). And I also ran into (and killed), Nuramoc. It's good to be a hunter.
I've been a lurker of the site and forums for awhile so a big thanks to you and this community for the tips and strategies (even though it was pure luck).
Have fun with the UI, it will definitely get you in the mood for Diablo 3.

Im new to this site too I waas looking for skoll but ive camped him for 12 hours and nothing.. i ended up going to look for loque found him in ariund 10 minutes. but skoll seems elusive ( i found loque by simply flying around spawn points with track beast on <img decoding="async" class="wp-smiley" src="/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif" alt="” />

Loque seems easier to find these days, which is probably due to the fact that a lot of hunters already have him, plus Skoll and Arcturis seem to be the ones on everyone's radar currently.

Tha is where I found him. It was 8:17 A.M. Est.Time when doing my fly by that I do everytime I do the daily in the Brunhilder village. I was suprised to fined him. I have camped the spots alot. He is a great pet. he is very good for doing damage. My raid members were suprised by the lightning strikes. Lots of points just on looks to.
