Okay, this really is a moron type question so bear with me.
I'm currently a mostly BM/some MM spec'd hunter (Details) and at 60 I'd like to get a Devilsaur as a pet. When I respec to full BM in order to collect him, can I still utilize him when I switch back to my leveling build? Or will he sulk in the kennel because of me lacking the exotic pet talent?
Any answers would be most appreciated.

Without that talent, no devilsaur for you!! You can still have it in the stable, but you cant use it. I would recommend leveling as straight up BM all the way with points up to 1 in Go For the Throat and Aimed Shot in mm. Having that devilsaur will be a monster help leveling. The thing is a tank pet it does so much damage. It'll rarely ever die, it will eat enemies alive, it wont lose aggro often. I still roll with my devilsaur on bm cause I love it so much. Ironhide ftw!!

Yes, it is a shame that we can not use our exotic beasts when we change specs. I have all three of the sprit beasts now, and mess around with them, but until some more changes come to the tree, I have to raid as Survival with my Wolf from the ramparts
