Ok, well I'm trying to grab 5 Rare pets before Cata comes out, or atleast 4.0. I've been messing around on the PTR this morning and thought about this. With BM Hunters with Core Hounds getting Bloodlust now (hehe) I find myself wanting pets that may not even be in Cata but still in Wrath. So right now I have the following:
Echeyakee – White Lion
Arcturis – Bear Spirit Beast
Soriid the Devourer – Purple Silithid
Bjarn – White Bear
Snarler – Black Wolf
Now the first 2, I'm keeping no matter what…but the other 3 well I'm willing to Change them, but at current I do need a wolf for raiding before Cata hits. So Any Ideas? I was thinking bout grabbing a red Core Hound since I seem to see the blue or green more on my server. And since I think MC might get removed or revamped it might be nice to have him.

I'm wanting to go after a red Core Hound myself; I'm just waiting for 4.0 so I don't have to abandon any of the pets I currently have.
As far as wolves go, these are some of my favorites:
Old Cliff Jumper – Unique gray skin with awesome green eyes. He'll still be around in Cata though.
Deathmaw – Rare black worg in the Burning Steppes.
Snarler – You know this one. 
Mist Howler – Rare gray wolf in Ashenvale. This guy may be gone in Cataclysm.
Lupos & Ghosthowl – Rare white worgs in Duskwood/Felwood respectively.
With the exception of OCJ, none of the wolves have unique skins, but are still fun to track down nonetheless.

Ooooh I want The Beast from UBRS as well! I've gone in there messing with the old raids, and played around seeing If I could tame him as is, was I ever wrong! He's a tough bugger, likes to fear and throw you across the room(not so good for taming..)
Well my bf is a healz drood and I've convinced him to pick up herbalism to make me a ton of speed potions and to assist me with this tame, he's more interested in getting ahead of me in gs though(stupid boys and their obsessive need to be better than you..)
I am planning on going for another round here in the near future, hopefully my next post will include a very pretty picture of me and my βeast =D

Good luck with that Idrial. 
I'm planning on going after him as well once we get the additional stables. It's all I can do to resist the urge now…
Not to mention… Core Hounds are going to be pretty awesome in Cataclysm.
