I tamed him just outside Thundermar at 49, 23, at 7:30AM Server time! You had so better be next!
It surprised me. My silver dragon did not go off until I had already targetted him. I had expected his tracking dot to be yellow and had started clearing him as a mob.

Oooooooo – jealous!!!!! Grats! I've been making regular passes and hovering over thundermar with no sighting. I have not tried targeting for him – relying on NPC to scare me awake.
Did you decide on a name yet?

Grats, and good luck to you two as well, he's still one of the hardest ones that I've camped. Don't know what it is about him, but he is hard to find!

Drach, he blended right in, and had I not been sitting right in his path when he spawned, I don't think I would have known. I was doing paperwork for work, and heard Pogeyan attacking Sambas (and the RP gears started churning) before like an IDIOT I realized I had to find my dismiss button before tame.
Please note: All of my elusive tames, my TLPD, my rare findings are NOT a result of carefully calculated plotting, but of the blunder-hunt-and-peck variety.
Ozzie, Total good luck. He's gorgeous.
Abby, one tip that I had was that the sightings seem to be different on each server. I posted on the MG servers and had a few other hunters note that they had seen him multiple times in the morning. I think Anj said he's seen him at 5 past to 15 past the hour as well.
I have not decided on a name, but wanna go old myth or old gods related. I am a Leo as well, hence my wicked attraction to this pet. Any ideas? I came very close to just naming him Ra, but then thought I'd look around.
Someone also quoted the lyrics to La Bamba on the thread, and I remember loving that song when it first came out and thought it would be neat to name him Pocadegracia, then realized that didn't sound too masculine.

Mmmmmm i love Maahes, or the alternative spelling Mihos. And being half greek as well, Leonidas is awesome. Oh glory, i LOVE the history behind Jadbalja too. You are horrible!
Major would be pretty funny. I could see Drach naming him that and sitting back and smiling to see who recognizes it and who doesn't.

When I was naming Sambas, I wanted to go mythology, norse if I could. I found this on a site, don't know if its true or not, like everything else you find on the internet. Feel free to use Sinri if you want.
Sine is from the Old Norse name Sinri which means “roaring lion” in old scandinavin language.
It was derived from the elements sinr “victory” and fríðr “beautiful, fair”.

Awwwh Crimson, I didn't mean that I needed a new name… 
I love the story behind Maahes, or Mihos (who I grew up with) and he's now named. My fellow huntress got him almost 12 hours after I did, and named hers Pyrame, so I had to rename my other cat Thisbe (after the old tale.) We run together a lot so thought it was appropriate.
Ozzie, you so need to get yours this weekend. Will hugely be looking out for it.

No worries! I'm gonna have to take Abby's route and just not try to find him for a while. I'm sure that'll make him show up more quickly, lol, it usually ends up that way.

I was very lucky, I read about him then on the same day while I was questing I thought I would just fly over his spawn areas, I could not believe it when I saw him in the first area nearest to where I was.
Tamed and renamed to Bane
