I've been searching around SB for weeks looking for the rare beast Aotona (on and off, but still) and have yet to even SEE this creature yet. No corpse, no nothing…
So, today I was running around SB, taking a lap on my flyer, then one on the ground skinning, then back on the flyer, ect. Eventually, after many hours of this, I finally got bored and decided to look for Krush (not that I could tame him or anything – I'm Survival spec – but I figured I could find him before I could what I ACTUALLY wanted to find).
Not even a minute into my search for Krush, NPCscan pops up saying it's found Krush. However, I couldn't even kill him because an an Ally (myself being Horde) had him almost killed…but still.
I just popped in hear to rant. I'm sure a lot of you guys know what I'm talking about. Haha.

I've encountered Aotona probably about 6 times at least, but never tamed him because my stable was always full.
A few months ago I decided to go after him because I had this crazy notion that I'd farm for the Hyacinth Macaw as well, giving me the ultimate vanity setup. After about a week and a half of casual searching and absolutely no sign of Aotona, I ended up taming and leveling a fifth pet.
Since then I've seen him 3 times.
Oh well… Aotona may be one for my new Orc Hunter.
Btw, all 6 times I spotted him was at the same location. The spot SW of River's Heart. Good luck!

See! Why is that that whenever you're looking for one of them, they're suddenly invisible…but as soon as you're not going after em, they pop up everywhere! Crazy, crazy…
Oh well, thanks, I will keep looking! And good luck with you and possibly finding him for your Orc!
