We all have a pet thats a favorite to use in raids or one for pvp, but which pet is it that is your personal favorite?
Mine is a hyena named Spaz. I tamed him in the Blasted Lands when I was still leveling in that area. I like to bring him out for when I'm doing dailies or farming mats. He's not the greates dps nor great for pvp, but I've fallen in love with him because I've had him for so long. Come Cataclysm he will likely see more action as his current special is going to be replaced by a bleed effect type special.
Me and Spaz chillin' outside Zul'aman. We were there for some retro-raiding with the guild.

For me, that's a very tough call. If I had to pick one, I suppose it'd be my ghost wolf.

Just a plain old wolf, but I love the skin in comparison to all the other “evil” looking wolves you see. Sadly I had to let her go for a SB last night. I'll be heading back to OL to get a replacement soon.
On another note, Gar, I hadn't seen that article you linked to above before. I thought I was crazy for wanting to dual spec two different BM builds! I wanted to go with your suggestion and a wolf for raids and DPS and then something with more amour, pet healing, and a bear for soloing. Maybe I will go ahead and do just that.

OMG I don't know if I hate you .. or am jealous of you.. or what, my jaw just dropped and I haven't stopped drooling. We had a hunter come through TM who had one and ooh Nala, I couldn't ever stop looking at it. I WISH those were still tamable. /sigh

That's also a nice pic Celika.
I had one of those Moonstalkers myself, but sadly, I ended up kicking her to the curb once I found out about rare pets.

How funny… I have a similar screenshot with Krush. I had to go after one of those cute little green dino pets myself. 
I've a feeling Blizzard is going to fix the oil-stained wolf, but I've been thinking about going after one anyway. I'm always up for a challenge, especially when it comes to taming an unusual pet.

I wouldnt really say the oil stain wolf is a challenge when you a ally 
as a horde omfg its going to be the most pain staking part of taming trying to find a ally who has teh quest on your realm willing to help you out. I was lucky I did have a ally character on another account and on the same realm but I recently moved realms and debated picking him back up …. lets just say some people are very rude :<
I doubt they would fix it Im sure on another forum I saw someone saying hes still tameable same trick and stuff Ill have to look for it again ^^'

I dont have any cool BM pets anymore, as I ditched that spec and have a MM for raid and SV for pvp setup. My current, and favortie non-bm pet, is the Shattered Hand warhound from Hellfire Ramparts. The neat thing about this pet is purely aesthetic. I have the pvp wolf mount, and it looks exactly the same as the shattered hand wolf. So when I ride up and get off my mount, it looks as though he becomes my pet! 
Sometimes the smallest things make life more fun.

I always thought that looked cool as well. A guildy has that same pet and I always like seeing him ride up on his wolf and then dismount with it as his pet.

Is there a trick to getting the oil stained wolf? I'm starting that quest chain, and want to pick him up for when/if I respec later on, plus I love distinct pets. Just wondering if there are any tips needed to grab him during the quest?

Well, I assumed he's dirty for a reason, and needs the twelve steps to get his life cleaned up, I'm doing it more for him than for me…I'm a helper
Update: Officially..AHHH!!! I can't get the timing down on this thing. First off, I can't see the trap timer anymore, not sure where it is or how to get it to show again, probably something in an addon I need to adjust, so I've just been using a stopwatch to countdown how much time is left. This was working for a while, I would tame and get the wolf with no oil, no biggie just adjust a little on my timing..except now everytime I hit tame, no matter when, a few seconds into the tame he despawns..every time!! Maybe they're on to me, and don't want me to have the wolf…I dunno, gonna take a break and come back to it I guess. Any pointers?

Allright, I finally figured it out! I just had to up my haste rating a little bit more, thankfully I had some haste gear on me, I've been trying to keep as much as I could to go after The Beast, so thankfully it was on me lol. Anyways, here's a nice photo of me with my new project..I mean pet!
Now to think of a name…

Lol I thought of Niika, but didn't think you would want an oily dog named after you. I like Cadejo alot, very nice vibe to it! Well, I posted the frustration post, and thought lets go back and give it one more try, popped on my haste gear and got it in the second try

Lol true that, and you read my mind…I was this close to naming it Niika just for the screen-shot, but didn't think you'd care for it too much. I think I'm going for Cadejo, it seems like a perfect fit!

My first pet, my cat Mjolniir, is still my hearts favourite but now I have devilsaur and he rules in many ways. Like others have said, I still go back to my first pet when just farming mats etc but when punch is needed dino comes out to play.
