Did a fly-over looking for Bjarn last night while waiting for a BoT run to materialize. Neither ever did. I have the crappiest luck finding rares, lol. Currently using SilverDragon. Have used NPCScan. Any suggestions on one that works better than the other? Is it really that my luck is that bad, or do I just need a clear out my cache?

I use both actually, in case one slips up there is a backup in place. Also, clearing your cache semi regularly does help, because a mob could get cached if someone in one of the major cities has them as a pet and you are around them. You'll get them, just keep trying whenever you can, persistence is key in rare pet hunting, you can do it!

Ozzie, I make it a routine to clear my cache regularly since my 'office' is in that tauren area you see me at and I spend a buttload of time there and there are a bajillion tauren hunters. I use both SD and NPC scan.
Sadly enough, i've also been looking for you and just haven't seen it.
