I am a proud BM raiding hunter who is rather happy with her Devilsaur Krushie ( King Krush) but sadly when it comes to raids or doing a simple HC Im always told to turn growl off my pet, and it isn't even on!
I've been told Devilsaurs naturally create arggo on thier own, which to me didn't sound right : / I though pets only did it if you told them to. Then again there is the whole 'gear' issue I do try to PuG with people the same geared as me but now and then there is a odd mob that will only go for my pet. AND I SWEAR GROWL IS OFF! It isn't some huntard mistake, I don't even turn growl on when I'm soloing old instances!
So does anyone know if my Devilsaur can make arggo by doing nothing or was someone just trying to confuse me again ![]()
Thanks in advance!

Devilsaurs used to have a very large hit box which would sometimes cause them to pull additional adds; especially when enraged, but that was fixed a few patches ago. As long as growl is turned off, your Krush shouldn't pull any more aggro than the next pet.
Now it is possible that at times your pet may be pulling aggro just due to its damage. While under BW, Devilsaurs can put out some impressive damage. If you're not careful, or should you be grouped with an under-geared or inexperienced tank, your pet could certainly gain threat over the tank.

I don't have a Devilsaur, but the other night I was also told (insisted) to turn off my taunt no less than 7 times by a tank who eventually dropped out after losing threat and wiping the group twice. At one point I was actually in Viper using Autoshot ONLY and still I was very close to pulling aggro off him. It can be pretty frustrating.
I say keep the pet you want and just use MD. I set the tank as my focus before each instance and then use the target macro to MD onto him. That way no matter how good (or bad) they are it gives me and the other DPS the ability to go all in with our attacks.

HAHA! I do. I never forget to turn it off before an instance, but I ALWAYS forget to turn it back on afterward. I'll then watch mobs bl;ze past my pet like he wasn't even there cursing at my PC until I realize it's still off.
