Yup, I was extremely lucky and just got Skarr 

I stumbled upon Skarr on his northeast spawn point. It’s been a while since I’ve read Nanluin’s excellent guide at Petopia, so rushing because another hunter (or worse a crazy rare killer) might pass by, I went ahead and 

– cast Ancient Hysteria then dismiss Core Hound

– took a Potion of Speed and cast Deterrence 

– cast Tame Beast.

Deterrence blocked the first attack and it went smoothly from there. I said I was lucky because if I had tamed a second too late, Skarr's second attack would have canceled my taming. All this was done in BM spec.

A few minutes before this, I found Kirix but someone else beat me to him. I did call out my Cinderweb Broodling to show off (and got a /cheer). I also /cheered back A few seconds after I tamed Skarr, I found out Solix was up… but that’s for another post.
