Ok, so I hate to ask and feel like a nubblet or something. However, I have all the spirit Beasts………..except one.
I have camped Arcturis for 3 days in a row stright without logging off!!!! i know maddness!!!!!! during WotLK, and day in and day out during Cata to no prevail. My toon sits out there no matter what I am doing, except when i do my molten front dailes. I am on server : Shadow Council, and it seems to me that he just doesn't spawn anymore.
Does anyone have any good tips or insights to getting him?

The hard part is that, since Arcturis is the easiest Spirit Beast to get (only ever spawns in one area–and right outside an Alliance encampment, too), he’s also the most heavily camped apart from Ban'thalos. Expect to see quite a few other Hunters hiding in the trees and bushes, waiting for him to appear.
Try to find out when he last spawned on your server and mark your clock. Arcturis spawns roughly every 8 hours, and frequently does so at the top of the hour (usually 5-10 minutes before or after the hour strikes, e.g. 4:55 A.M., 5:03 P.M., etc). Many other Hunters have tested and proven this method time and again, myself included.

While researching the TLPD which I still don't have on my main, I read that there are never more than 3 rares spawned at a time. With the lack of activity in Northend, at least on my server, the rares don't get killed as fast as they used to. It might help to have some guildies or friends search for and kill the other rares in the area. Wish you luck getting him, he is awesome.

The “limited Northrend rares” hypothesis is actually a hotly disputed one, at best. As far as I can remember the notion seems to be based on a similar occurrence in Outland. Still, I wouldn’t bet too much on the theory, but you can still make sure by hunting down a few rares yourself. There are around 3 or 4 in Grizzly Hills alone (Arcturis included), so you don’t have to go too far.
Seething Hate appears to be one of the most frequently seen ones (seen randomly in either the Heart, Limb or Tear of Vordrassil areas). I remember nabbing Arcturis right after taking him down, so there might be some truth to the claim, but given the counter-evidence presented by others people who have managed to tame Arcturis 8 hours on the dot after he’s been nabbed last, I don’t want to make absolute statements on this one. =P

Hi there.
Total new to the hunting business – have alot of other chars though.
Wanted to share, that I got Arcturis, 2 days ago, at about 23:00 ST.
Just came flying from Dragonblight, finished with quests there, and next stop was Grizzly Hills.
No other Hunter in sight – and an easy tame – very cool bear indeed

Arc was the only SB I ever camped. Seemed like he was on a very long spawn timer. Few months back when I was rep grinding in Northrend I was flying over the spawn point daily and NPC never popped once. Only SB tame I ever found dull-hate camping for pets. Fortunately you shouldn't experience too much competition with all the new pets around to be tamed. Need some patience on this one but given he's the only SB Bear he's nice to have. You'll nab him.
Not knowing you aren't supposed to be able to achieve something often ensures that you will. Book of Agio 22:2

I've tame Arcturis on 2 toons just by flying over his area. From memory it was 5 or so minutes past the hour, and 11 springs to mind re the hour.
The SB I can never seem to find is the wolf, I've flown his patrol circuit a zillion times and he is just never there :-((

Was very lucky today 
In morning at about 6:00 AM I tamed Kirix, 40 min later at 6:40 AM I tamed Margria.
Then at 11:40 AM – just logging in at the Molten Front, I saw Skarr sitting on his rock – easy tame after I found out how
At 6:35 I tamed Skoll – very nice lightning effect
All in all a perfect pet collecting day
