And no, I don’t have him too (see Ankha) … ONLY THAT I was camping for two hours, left and when I logged back in after an hour somebody was ALREADY taming him! 
Missed Ban’thalos by mere seconds… seconds!
HOWEVER, the experience proved that one spot is a reliable place to tame Ban’thalos without falling to one’s death. Just freeze trap, shoot, stop attack, deterrence, tame:

Two misses. Good misses at that.
First, someone else was already standing on that tree. I befriended her, wished her well and went on to Firelands. (I found out she was able to get Ban’thalos after a 15 hour camp. So grats on that!) After that, I started to camp but had to leave for a few hours. Which brings us to the second miss.
Guildies were already on the spot when I logged back in! So I wished them well again and went on to Eastern Kingdoms (for my Loremaster stuff). I got a message after a few minutes that they got it! Grats again on that!
So eventually it will be my turn — no rush as this is nothing compared to my epic 2 month camp.

5:08pm Moon Guard 17 hours after the last spawn (or it spawned in between and I got the short timer for the second spawn). Total camp time +/- 24 hours.
