Just tamed Ashtail at Loch Modan (around 72,41). There was a troll hunter with me so I made sure I had _NPCScan (Ashtail: 453
) and the classic macro:
/tar Ash
/cast Tame Beast
…and here he is.

I, too, have tamed Ashtail! What a great feeling to get a rarespawn on the first day! A little note to those who find him…set your trap behind you as he leaps over you (at least he leapt over me) much like Loque does. Although I suppose the trap is a little unnecessary since he's only lvl 17 or so. =P What can I say? Old habits die hard.

@abby good luck. You'll love him! I love the smooth running animation and if you're bored, hit Play.
@Niika the coords is the general area but _NPCscan should not have any problem covering that spot. BTW, spawn time is around 1 hour!
@lawman30 so that explains it! I remember that for a second I thought I lost the tame and was ready to hit my macro key again. So Ashtail leapt behind me and it's a good thing my toon did a 1. Nice.

I got him, too. Sounds like the spawn timer is only 2-3 hours. I picked up Harakiss the Infestor, too. I don't think anyone cares about the silithids.
Ashtail is awesome looking. A definite tame for any hunter who wants to get a fox.

I've read it's 1 hour but hunters get him so fast that it seems to “extend” to 2-3 hours.
I agree with silithids. I still don't like them but I had to get Lapress!

I'm bummed, though. I'm gonna have to drop Araga and my two tallstriders since their no longer unique skinned. Still, will make room for Ghostcrawler, Karoma, Sambas, and Terrorpene… I have a feeling Terrorpene is going to be MASSIVELY farmed. Same with Sambas.
