So I'm running some quests up in the lush Grizzly Hills, great area btw…one of my faves, and I'm running around killing stuff like a good hunter should, and then out of nowhere who shows up but this guy

And who is 10% away from being 74…the D-man of course!!! Ahhhh! So I book it and start killing stuff like a mad man and doing quests like they're going out of style, and 30 mins later I ding 74, so I hightail it back to where he was, and could the universe smile down upon this humble goat? Could it you ask?
Of course not!!! Ahhhh! Oh well, I was so close lol. When I first saw him, I was literally the only one around for a good long time, so I checked the time and made a mental note…those of you with more knowlege, is he a 24 hour spawn, or does he just randomly pop up places? Now I've got the bug and will likely do little else until he is mine…oh yes, he will be mine

Gawd, Drach. Get the mining up to 450. it ain't THAT hard.
OOPS! you wanted sympathy, not a smack on the back of your shoulders. That is pretty much the only spawn point, and for some servers, it crops up in the wee hours of the morning. On my server, it's between 2am and 4am. I don't think it is a spawn timer per se, but in all the reading on this pet, it seems to be the most easy to track down.
That is also his primary (only, as far as I am aware) spawn area.
I love that beast. Hope to make him mine some day.
