So I'm questing in Hyjall on my warrior and who should I spy below me but Terrorpene! In all his firey glory. Never have I been so bummed about not having my hunter leveled. Anyhow, I do what I always do in a situation like this and I broadcast it in general chat that the pet is up if anyone wants to come and get him.
No one comes.
For Real?!?! No one wants this guy?! Anyhow, eventually 2 hunters show up. One is too low lvl and the other wipes twice trying to tame him. I am frantically trying to invite the hunter who is trying and it turns out that in the frenzy, I clicked “Ignore” instead of “Invite” (those two choices need to be spaced out more as this has happened to me more than once now). I'm whispering to her that if she invites me I can give her the Kings buff from my drums. Her party leader whispers me to inform me that I've ignored her and he invites me. I buff her and she completes the tame on the next try with 300 HP left. I felt GREAT to have been the grain that tipped the scales in her favor.
Anyhow, I take her off the ignore list and we talk about how friggin cool her new turtle is. She offers to pay me some gold for having been so persistent in helping her but I decline. I ask her, instead, to add my hunter to her friends list so that once I get to leveling him she can repay the favor if she sees a rare spawn that she doesn't want to tame herself.
Bittersweet for me in that Terrrorpene is one of the top 3 tames I want make on my hunter and it KILLED me that I couldn't log him to take advantage of a spawn that, at first, no one seemed to want. Ah well…he will be mine. Oh yes, he will be mine.

OK Law, that was awesome. how come you couldn't log into your hunter?

That's why I said I was so bummed that my hunter wasn't leveled. I haven't played him yet so he's only lvl 
and wouldn't have been able to tame the mighty turtle. =(
In situations where I can tame a rare I see on another toon (for example, my priest was leveling in Loch Modan and came across the Clutch Mother), I immediately log onto my hunter and make a beeline for the spot to bag the beast. In situations where my hunter can't ge there or already has him, then I announce in general chat that the target is up and I do what I can to help out.
