Lately I've noticed that many of the random players I run into have very low DPS. Because I've been playing my DK tank, I basically just insta-queue and run instances all night; and it occurred to me that it is very, very rare to see anyone with high DPS numbers. I'd estimate that in 10 random dungeon groups I may see 1 person that is making over 5k dps, maybe 4 or 5 that make it above 4k, with the vast majority hovering somewhere around 2.5-3.5k.
I was just curious if anyone else had noticed this… It's pretty unusual to top the charts on my tank, but lately thats been happening.

I haven't seen much of a change except to fellow hunters. Warlocks and Mages continue to top the DPS charts in the random's I've been in. Why locks got to keep rain of fire and we lost volley still befuddles me.

Even the Locks and Mages have been below 4k the last week or so. Could be that no one is playing or that most people juts don't care atm.

I would say most don't care. A large chunk of our guild has been doing nothing but rep grinds just waiting for next week.

Oh Grats!! I haven't started that yet. I am working on Skettis at the moment.
Niika – Multishot turns me into an aggro ho in randoms. No issues in ICC but I have yet to be in a random where the tank can hold enough threat to keep anything off of me once I slap multi, even with misdirect.

At the moment I've stopped caring about putting out high dps. Things will be changing in Cata as far as dps goes with all the changes that have been made in the game mechanics. I've just been sitting back taking it easy, working on achievements and PvPing till Cata hits.

Alot of the hardcore geared player's have most likely hit the JP cap in the last 2 weeks and have no reason to run 5 mans till the release of cata. Other then that most well geared people are apart of a guild and que with “Their” tanks so they get insta que's.
