Good afternoon
I am having an issue with my hunter, I can’t seem to get my dps above 15k and it hurts me.
My hunter’s ilvl is at 640 at the moment, I can’t seem to figure out what is going wrong it kinda feels like I lost her.
My hunter is PVE MM and I raid two times a week with the guild, maybe it’s because i am to focused on the tacts and losing grip on my dps
I really don’t know anymore, can you fellow hunters help me out here?
Thankyou
Lyllionia,
15k DPS sounds about right for your iLVL, and depending on the fight you could pull more or less. Focusing on the tactics and specifics of a fight is never a bad thing, and if you aren’t taking unnecessary damage you are helping the raid even if you lose a bit out outgoing damage to the boss.
What talents are you running? I assume you are using Lone Wolf, and if not I would give it a try andsee if that helps you. Personally I use Thrill of the Hunt, and spam Aimed Shot as much as possible. You should be prioritizing Kill Shot>Chimaera Shot>Aimed Shot for your rotations.
Even when multiple targets are up I wouldn’t worry about spamming Multishot as its damage is not that great.

Great response drack! He was spot on for your core attributes and what should be priority. I have personally found use barrage instead of Glaive Toss helped my DPS greatly. If you opt to use barrage, just be EXTEMELY aware of your surroundings.
Hope some of these post helped ya! Keep us posted on how it goes.
Horns and Hooves = +15 DPS
Barrage is usable while moving, but the 3 seconds can be a long time if you need a Disengage or Master’s call during that period.
I’ve always preferred Glaive Toss due to the short cooldown, low focus cost and utility, but Barrage is a nice ability for adds and trash. My biggest issue with it is the high focus cost and the fact that it doesn’t settle in as comfortably within the rotation. 3 seconds can also be a long time to delay a high priority cooldown such as Kill Shot, BW, LnL, etc…especially during a single-target encounter.
6.1 is buffing that particular tier of talents so I believe the next patch will merit some experimenting, but still…Glaive Toss animation is hard to beat.

I’m so bad at checking the forum! Been so caught up in raiding. Lyllionia how’s the situation going? I know it’s been MONTHS, and so much has changed in the game in that time!
Gar, I agree the animation for Glaive Toss is better! This is one thing that is great about the new abilities tree, being able to change these two for different fights, Crazy compared to our Youth days right?!
