Hi Gar-You probably don't remember me, many many years ago, okay 2-3 weeks back I contacted you about hit rating as understanding it was making me cry due to my non-heroic math skills plus I've only been playing WoW for a little over 2 months. You were kind enough to respond in a way that even a dwarf hunter could understand. Now gratuitous sucking up…
1st-your site and posts have been very helpful, most importantly they are up to date and to show my appreciation I became a site member-please feel free to send me half of the half cent you got for that. I'd like your input on moving ahead even though I'm emotionally attached to BM. Obviously on a low pop server BOE AH gear is insanely expensive IF it ever shows up but I've tried to equip him as well as possible but most of the serious gear is obtained in ways I simply cannot yet get to-raids n such. Now, how or what do I do to move him up so he can do a few of these things to obtain or at least try to obtain the gear?
I nabbed the felstalker armor set, do I load it with Agi or AP gems + stam or did I have the wrong crap made? I was comparing the current stuff I wear and I'm not sure I gained much. However I value your insights and maybe I have the wrong build for where I want to get which is being able to solo much of what I cannot at this time-if I'm on the wrong path I figure you or your readers will be able to help and I'd truly appreciate it.
Maybe at some point Ill look at guilds, raids etc but I experienced that as a guild runner on AC yrs back and it gave me a headache. I simply want my guy to be a very good hunter even though it's just a game. A time sucking life draining fn game.

As for being a one-man wrecking crew while you level… I suggest staying BM. It's the hands-down best spec for leveling and soloing content. Your pet is your own personal pocket tank, leaving you free to sit back and deal the ranged damage.
Damage is split more evenly between hunter and pet, making it less likely for the hunter to pull aggro. You also have nice bonuses in the form of passive increased foot speed and a minor HoT. Both of these help to lessen down-time.
First off, don't worry about gemming and gear too much while you're leveling. It's of little consequence, just so long as you're wearing hunter gear. Your gear looks spot on, so no worries there. Just keep doing what you're doing.
For leveling and soloing, I suggest gemming for the socket bonuses. You want the most bang for the buck, plus at this stage, gemming for stamina is a good thing. Attack power or agility are fine. AP translates a little better to your pet's damage, but agility buffs survivability a tiny bit for both of you (increased armor for hunter & pet, plus increased dodge for the hunter) & it gives you a bit higher crit.
Since you're not min/maxing at this point, I say either is fine. However, for your purposes, I'm gonna suggest agility in future as you replace your gear.

If you don't PvP at all, then you could dump the point in Aimed Shot and put it in Cobra Strikes. If you plan on doing some PvP, then you may want to replace Glyph of Steady Shot w/ Glyph of Aimed Shot.
This build will have you cutting down mobs in nothing flat.

This spec will give your wolf a little added survivability, while also buffing its damage. I don't really think you need Heart of the Phoenix for what you're doing. I think with Greater Stamina, Bloodthirsty, 5/5 Endurance Training, Spirit Bond, and Improved Mend Pet, your pet should be unstoppable.

Gar-First off you're welcome and they're warranted.
I looked at your recommendations and after running a few spreadsheets, cross-referencing with Hunters Union n Elitist Jerks and Dear Abby..okay I did absolutely none of that 
it looks good and as per, made sense so I'm trying it. Interestingly I looked on the Armory and there is a L
Hunter who I think writes some kind of hunter blog and it looks a lot like his BM spec 
I initially debated Heart of the Phoenix as it's a 2pt eat so dropping it wasn't a problem, only used it once-soloing the Bunny Tower, don't laugh, those bunnies pack some punch ala The Holy Grail. Be interesting to see if no aspect or cobra has any impact.
I'll keep Aimed as my current shot set up is pretty much hm, arc, multi/aimed and SSting in varying order. Steady isnt getting the use as the mobs are usually dead by that time but that'll probably change as I overmatch myself in Northrend.
I'll keep the steady shot glyph, Hawk is useless now so not sure which to drop in that slot.
PvP is a logical solo route in WoW and I looked at it but honestly I'd end up spending too much time getting to where I'd be satisfied at playing PVP even though seems WotLK is pretty much raid-oriented. God knows, all the sites are so again, thanks for helping an anti-social n00b Volatile Dwarf who will probably retire @ . I heard the world for hunters was ending with Cataclysm, lol. That was a good post btw.
