I'm leveling a hunter I havent played in a while and I run out of mana real fast, people tell me to switch aspects to generate mana, from hawk to viper.
Is there a better way to manage it so I dont run out so fast.

That would be my recommendation as well. Once you learn to manage those two aspects, mana won't be as much of an issue.

The problem with the hunter class since Day 1 is that it has never been a very mana efficient class. In fact we didn't get our first truly mana efficient shot until we got Steady Shot with the BC expansion.
While long gone are the days of chain chugging potions, we still have issues. One way to mitigate this is through talents, and most of those seem to be in the marksmanship tree. If you spec enough to get 5/5 in Efficiency that should help considerably.
