I am told MM is the best dps spec for hunter but i don't really like to play mm, i rather go surv but i am scared it will end up affecting my dps and lowering it :/, should i stay mm or go surv?

In most cases, Survival is as good or better than MM. It's not until you get deeper in the end game that SV starts to trail by a noticeable margin.
I like the play style of SV, as well as not ever having to worry about mana. I'm just shy of a 5.9K GearScore and I still raid as SV. I can count on one finger how many times in the past several months I've been out dps'd by another hunter, and even then it was by a fairly small margin. However, he was MM, had a 6.1K GS full ArPen build and knew what he was doing.
In short, SV is a great spec for most. MM has the potential to be better, but is a lot more dependent upon gear and proficiency. My advice would be to try Survival out for a few raids (provided you're not gemmed full armor pen) and see what you think. If you do more damage as SV, then it is a higher DPS spec for you.
