Hi Gar
So now the lil dwarf has turned 
, well did a while back and this is how I've set him and the mutt up. Any advice on the specs etc. will as always be appreciated.

By 70 I'd pretty much determined what L BOE's I could nab or have made and had my AH alt zoned on grabbing deals and I 'think' I've got about as good as it's going to get given the solo route I've chosen. Shoulders and Helm are problematic but meh.
Darkmoon Card Greatness and Rock-Steady Treads are about the last I think but right now well I'm sooooo broke. Those legs, oy… the cost to make. Must admit, PvP is tempting but that entails a whole other learning curve and I'd be starting very very far behind the pack. Pretty much followed your 1st advice and gemmed agility and slot bonuses. For now I'm sticking with the wolf because I love the animation-that's sound reasoning for soloing. Might grab a bear depending on what happens in 5 mans and whatever else I try to get myself killed.

Grats on ! I had a look at your spec and it looks dead on the money for your play style. I wouldn't change a thing.
I'd tweak your wolf a bit though: http://www.wowhead.com/petcalc…..00scz0hoRb
You won't need the extra pet health so much, so instead I'd go with Cobra Reflexes and an additional point in Culling the Herd, in favor of 3/3 Great Stamina. That will net you a little more damage.
If you grab a bear, I'd use him mainly for your solo work and pec him like this: http://www.wowhead.com/petcalc…..dh0buzb0or
All there is to do now is farm emblems, and in turn maybe snatch a few upgrades along the way.
The two biggest upgrades for you would be trinkets. Banner of Victory and Mirror of Truth are both pretty easily obtained, and would really help your DPS. BoV drops in Reg ToC and MoT just costs some Emblems of Heroism. (40, I think..?). Of course, if you can afford DMC: Greatness, go with that all the way.
There's a nice 245 helm that can be purchased with Triumph emblems.
H HoR drops a nice 232 hunter polearm. http://www.wowhead.com/item=50296

As per, the tweak on my wolf makes sense and shall be done. Thanks for the bear spec as well. After reading one of your posts about soloing a dungeon with your Horde hunter you swapped over to a bear I believe so I figure I may need it. Well, if you did, guaranteed I will.
While I appreciate your advice on the trinkets and emblem gatherin, Gar I'm good 
but soloing ToC and H HoR? Buddy right now I'm concerned about attempting Hellfire! I think I'll start slow, say Deadmines, lol. Right now I can't even afford to stare at DM Greatness in the AH <img decoding="async" class="wp-smiley" src="/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif" alt="” />
Goes back to what we emailed about-the limitations of playing WoW completely solo. Game isn't designed for it save PvP. That forced interaction stuff, sheesh….

Oops… sorry Agio, I misinterpreted your mention of 5 mans, as being that you were interested in grouping for them.
Then yea… definitely stay away from any of the WotLK heroics if you're going strictly solo.
That said, definitely go for DMC:Greatness and maybe DMC
eath if you can afford it as well. The 2H you'll want is the one obtainable from the Knights of the Ebon Blade. That's probably the best you'll do for a 2H outside of a dungeon.
I'd look to PvP items for filling in the gaps. Doing the daily BG now and again, as well as the weekly WG quests,, should get you some nice pieces in no time. And who knows… you may discover you enjoy it.

Gar I'd definitely enjoy PvP-to the point that I'll get obsessed with it hence why I won't at the moment. It'll drive me nuts not to be at least decent at it. Been there done it. There's lots to do in WoW that I've not done anyhow. Taming exotics and Spirit Beasts for one!
Hell, I'm still sorting through keybinds, optimum movement and adds etc…such a newb. Right now familiarizing myself with dungeon play will be a kick. Dungeons hate solo-hunters and it's a mutual thing. It's Blizzards way of smacking us around but if you do solo one it's a blast and reward enough. Thanks on the Ebon Blade info.
