The other day while parked at my favorite spot in any BG, the Spirit Healer I took a moment to ponder the mystery that is the Blizzard Dev team. Arguably the best team that ever created a game however sometimes I'm just like what the f**k were you people thinking?
Sure I'm a snivelly newb hunter but I try to be objective. So I can live with priests having spells that heal their heals while healing themselves, spell casters who can chain cast fear until I'm immunized from it-or get feared right off a cliff (whichever comes 1st), the humiliation of unleashing my "Improved Serpent Sting" DoT o Doom only to have a Warlock unload and show me what a real DoT is, Mages who unleash a pack of wolves that look exactly like mine so I get all confused and then start firing bolts of something at me that really sting, or a pally doing only God knows what or Warriors who simply will not die but I draw the line at two things and wonder WTF Blizzard is thinkin.
First is the Blood Death Knight. To create a melee sub-class that heals from attacks from other meleers, pets , shrubs and certain rocks is just downright stupid. I mean seriously, let's be honest about the DK class overall. Is there a steep learning curve to plaiying a DK? Not so much. When I can't find an Arena partner I summon my monkey, give it a banana and it magically transforms into a DK and we do a few Arenas. Of course as a hunter I get screwed there too as the chimp isn't a BDK, it's just a Frost. Another Hunter nerf. That it carries us through the match just adds insult to injury. No matter the new n improved BDK was not Blizzards finest moment.
However their biggest attack of the stupids has got to be the Feral Druid. You take a class that can stealth at will, change into all kinds of wildlife or some type of tree (which the BDK heals from), insta-heal for 100000 points, ignore traps , a class that literally stops in the middle of a fight and rolls around on the ground laughing at you when you try to kite it then pops up and hits you for 60000-70000 Damage like a semi on steroids plus gives you a zippy forget-me-not DoT kiss and you don't give it a ranged DPS attack? How do you expect the class to be competitive without giving it a ranged DPS attack?
Rarely do I feel sorry for any class other than the Hunter one but anytime I see a Feral Druid-so 5 every BG or any Arena team I face I look at them and feel their pain and also a degree of respect as I know, given I do have a ranged attack, the handicap these players are dealing with by not having one. It's not right that this class has to deal with such an imbalance while us Hunters have 'Scattershot'. Frankly I don't even know why they play the class-masochists or stalwart souls I suppose.
This to me is the prime example of the Blizzard Dev team dropping the ball. I know many a Feral has sent in a ticket about this very issue. Though it's unlikely Blizzard will listen, perhaps if we, not as hunters but as part of the great WoW community help in their effort Blizzard may realize the error of their ways and give Ferals the equalizer they need-a ranged DPS attack, before the class becomes extinct. Can you imagine the World of Warcraft without all those cute lil Ferals? It saddens me to even thnik about it.

So true Takaas so true. They do that cat thing and they are just so damn cute. Another reason we need to give them ranged, just in case they miss spamming #3 and somehow we escape with 20% health.
