OfflineI was in AB and bumped heads with this Alliance Druid (lazerchicken). http://www.wowarmory.com/chara…..cn=Sawsage
I tried everything I could to burn him down. He had evidentally picked me as his favorite target and kept hunting me down. When I could not beat him I tried running away, but he always managed to catch me.

Boomkins are actually pretty easy to drop for the most part, but it sounds like this guy knew what he was doing.
The main things to keep in mind are:
- Keep Aimed Shot up at all times.
- Use Tranq Shot to dispel GotW.
- Make sure your sting stays active on the target – reapply if cleansed.
- Use your Silencing Shot and Scatter Shot to interrupt his spellcasts.
- Laserchickens have to stand still to get off their big spells, so you can also use a Freezing Arrow as an interrupt.
- Feign Death is a fantastic spell interrupt.
- Keep the Druid snared with traps so that he has to shift out to break cc.
- Disengage or Deterrence to avoid Starfall.
- Try to maintain a 35-40yd range. Scatter Shot when at close range.
- Readiness can either be used to drop him hard and fast with double silences, chimeras and Aimed, or for escaping death with double Deterrence.
Now, as far as your build and gear are concerned, I can definitely help you here. <img decoding="async" class="wp-smiley" src="/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif" alt="

First off, we need to up your ability to deliver the pressure. You have a lot of gem sockets filled with stats like hit rating, stamina and straight crit. What you need is some more ap in the form of agility, as well as some spell penetration to cut through the Druid's resists.
Here's what I want you to do.
Change your build to this: http://www.wowhead.com/talent#…..bob:0fkMzV
Make sure to use my recommended glyph choices as well.
If mana is a problem for you, then you may want to go with 3/5 Efficiency instead of 3/3 Improved Arcane Shot. I prefer to manage my mana with Aspects and have the harder hitting Arcanes, but I'll leave that up to you.
What this build will do for you:
- Bolster your hit rating so that you can put damage increasing gems in those sockets. Improved Concussive Shot is actually pretty weak, so you're really not going to miss those two points. Also, it's going to prevent interrupts when you are casting Steadies during your Rapid Fire. In the end, more DPS.
- Your Arcane Shots will hit with a little more punch.
- Your Aimed Shot cooldown will drop to 8 seconds.
- Your cooldown on Disengage will lower to 16 seconds.
Glyph of Aimed Shot is superior to Glyph of Trueshot Aura for PvP. It gives you access to the shot at a quicker rate, providing more DPS and ensuring that you maintain the debuff.
Glyph of Hunter's Mark is useless for PvP. The added damage is negligible, it requires a GCD to cast and it can be easily dispelled. Having Disengage 5 seconds quicker is immeasurably more important.
Now, as for your gear.
Put a Relentless Earthsiege Diamond in your meta socket. It's by far the best meta for a hunter, whether for PvE or PvP.
Replace three of your Rigid King's Ambers (20 hit) with 3 deadly Ametrines (10agil/10crit).
Put 50 ap on your bracers.
Get rid of your glove enchant and put the engineering rocket on them.
Put the rocket enchant on your boots as well. Engineering provides huge advantages for PvP – use them.
Replace the gems in your blue sockets with 3 25 spell pen gems. You absolutely need this spell penetration in order to get your arcane and chimera shots hitting for full power, especially versus Druids.
These changes are going to net you some more attack power, along with some additional crit. That right there will help you a bit with your ability to put pressure on your targets.
I hope these suggestions help.
Now go get that guy and send me a screenshot once he's roasted!

Good to hear Takaas. Just switch to AotV (and eat if needed) in between scrums and you'll be fine. I pretty much always have enough mana to last through an assault or defense in AB. Some knock-down drag-outs in WSG have me switching to AotV for a few secs, but as long as you switch back for your hard-hitting shots, you'll be able to manage your mana pool and still maintain pressure.
