OfflineIs there anything a Hunter can do if a Rogue gets the jump on him? Meaning he stun locks you. I've been told that you don't trinket out of the first part of it, but I can't seem to find a spot where my trinket even helps. They just stun me again when I pop it or they just waste me before I use it. http://www.wowarmory.com/chara…..;cn=Takaas

Keeping a flare up at all times is a good way to prevent that, as is using Track Hidden if you think one's nearby. If the Rogue does get you, just eat the first stun, but be sure to trinket Kidney Shot, followed by Master's Call + Wing Clip + Disengage. Scatter Shot, Frost Traps, Deterrence, … all of these tools are highly effective vs. Rogues. Main thing is to prevent them from getting an opener. If you're having problems with stunlock, juts pop Deterrence immediately after you blow your trinket, then Master's Call as it's about to wear off.
As long as you keep them visible, slowed and at range, Rogues are easy. Then again, so is just about any other class. ![]()
If I may… a few suggestions with your build:
Take 3 points from Improved Tracking and place them into Entrapment. The 4 second snare is going to help you tremendously right there. Also note, that proc works on both Snake and Frost Traps, which happen to be on separate cooldowns.
3 points in Deflection is a waste. Put those into Improved Barrage for a 12% higher crit on Aimed Shot.
Drop Improved Arcane Shot. Put one point into Go for the Throat, and the other two in Concussive Barrage. GftT will add a little more DPS, but more importantly, it will ensure your pet has enough focus to get its specials off. Conc Barrage is just awesome. That adds a conc shot effect to all of your Chimera Shots. ![]()
Your glyphs should be: Serpent, Aimed, Disengage
Good luck out there… now go kick some Rogue ass!

OfflineThanks for the info. I will give the spec changes a try. Still a couple of questions though.
(1) A lot (not all) of the Rogue I bump into are able to sap (or whatever that ability is that doesn't put them into combat) me out of range of my flare and tracking ability.
(2) Deterrance doesn't cover your backside does it?

If you're standing right on top of your flare with Track Hidden on, it's very unlikely they'll get a Sap off. Also, make sure to use Volley and/or spam your:
/targetenemy
/petdefensive
/petattack
/cast Hunter's Mark
macro if you have a feeling one is nearby or if you just noticed one of your traps get disarmed.
Deterrence blocks all incoming damage – even from behind.

Kidney Shot is what you want to save your trinket for. If you're in melee range of a Rogue, you'd better have Master's Call or Deterrence up, or have the Rogue Scattered/Trapped and getting range on him.
If Rogues are getting the opener on you, then you just need to be mindful of your defensive cooldowns. Although Rogues can be a royal pain, we still have a plethora of abilities we can use to escape damage and/or get range.
Deterrence, Disengage, Master's Call, Scatter Shot, Frost Trap, Snake Trap (with Entrapment), Feign Death, Wing Clip,… and since you're MM, Readiness will let you do all of these twice if needed.
However, the best way to deal with them is by not letting them get the advantage right at the start. Always stay on the move when in BGs. You don't need to be running around like a crazy person, but just try to keep moving in between your auto shot casts. This will make it much more difficult for them to open on you. Also, always try to keep a flare up if you are planning on settling back into a rotation, or if you just know that one may be lurking.
