For those pesky Mages that are quite overpowered right now, I've found the Sporebat http://www.wowhead.com/pet=33#abilities to be quite effective. He is decently effective on healers as well.

Nice. I haven't tried one yet.
I've added some new pets to my stable, but haven't leveled any of them so far. I don't like to thrust them into battle until they're 
, so I've yet to play around with their new abilities.
I really want to try out a rhino as a Beast Master, so I can punt some Druids and Shaman.

As a Beast Master, I'm digging my Spirit Beast(s) above all others. The heal is invaluable, plus it's just awesome to be able to use a SB, knowing that it's a killer PvP pet!
I'm anxious to try out some others though. My Silithid is at the top of the list right now – I just need to level him.

Takaas – would you mind posting a pic of your Bat's talent tree? I just sort of stuck points everywhere and I'm sure I could make Beuford more effective.

Gar, I am glad that you are liking your spirit beast so much. That's what I was trying to explain pre-cat. She can take down a paladin all on her own, while i'm toying with a mage, then returns to finish them off, all while healing me. I have no clue how it all functions, but I love it. I used to get laughed at for running with her, but now, i see them fairly frequently.
By the way, it's my turn for the camp by Gars Gas Cap and damn if it isn't frustrating!

Yeah, Skoll's become my new BG companion. 
Maybe it's just the newness, but I'm liking him best out of all the Spirit Beasts right now.
He's got a nice mangy, ferocious, battle-worn look to him.
…and he flickers.
