Howdy folks – I have a Dranei BM hunter that I have been leveling via BGs for the last several months. (Call to arms – Alterac Valley!) You guys have helped alot with your advice and tactics – so thanks.
I was looking at the dranei racial: Gift of the Naaru.
I employ this alot in Bgs while in combat and it can sometimes be the difference in a 1v1 situation – or to outlast a string of dots. Recently i noticed that this talent is boosted by attack power! So I wanted to see if this was on anyone else radar. It seems that an BM hunter that goes the AP route with gems etc., has also 'pimped' their racial heal!

All the more reason to stack attack power as BM. Not only that, Spirit Bond will buff it a tiny bit as well.
Rock on with your space goat racials.

Then again, I do like our NE +2% chance to be missed and Shadowmeld.

I just thought of having Gift of the Naaru AND the Herbalism HOT (dunno the English name 
)
Along with the Mining Stamina buff you got some nice survival abilities…

Yeah i think i prefer the NE racials fo pvp.. but for some reason I am just not a night elf. Its interesting how the avatar really affects my gaming – I have an 
BM dwarf and a 75 BM Draenei (insane .. i know) and somehow wrecking in pvp as a female spacegoat just rocks where as my dwarf never semed to feel at home in a pvp situation. /shrug

Another thing to mention is Engineering…
All this little enchants are so nice and the possibility to battle rezz in pve siuations is great too.. (Feign Death and rezz TOOL^^)
The Nightelf racial is great in arathi. I would prefer defending lumber mill or mine.
Just place your pet (a cat isn't a good choice, so we got no stealth) behind some objects:
THE mine behind the flagg has 2 corners, the pet perfectly fits in and the enemy can't see it.
You climb on the roof of the mine and go stealthed. I'm not sure if the flag is within these 41 yards range… (is it yards or meters?)
Most enemies don't aoe this spot on the roof but these around the flag.
If you're good (better equipment helps a lot 
) you can defend the mine against 2 players or stay alive against more and call your army^^
Oh and please excuse my little offtopic, I just like to improve my English along with talking about Hunter tactics

I know what you mean about the class identity. Also, there's no shame in having multiple hunters. My first alt was a hunter.
Honestly, there's no better class… I have 4 total. Garwulf, a lvl 68 Dwarf, 49 Orc Twink and a 19 NE Twink.

I think your idea of a Draenei BM with Mining and herbalism would make for the most insane hardcore-soloing build ever.
A Spirit Beast would work alright for defense when using a NE. They can stealth, plus they have a 30yd ranged attack which would be nice for interrupting flag cappers.

Oh, and btw, I do think the BE females are pretty hot (duh…). But my favorites are the Draenei… I must have a thing for tails and cloven hooves.

Hi All,
I too have a Dranei hunter with herbalism. Lifeblood served me well while leveling, but I was about to drop it after hitting . I did a quick test after acquiring all of the current honor gear, and realized it was giving me about 4k health back. And, Gift of the Naaru with the AP bonus was giving me 6k back.
So I decided to acquire the Battlemaster's trinket and, since neither Lifeblood nor GotN trigger the GCD, have all three of them macroed together for some awesome HOTness every three minutes. Even with 2k stamina I still get a good chunk of my HP back.
Oh, and yeah my other profession is Engineering. Nitro boots + parachute cloak + glove rockets FTW!

That is a nice macro Scottsburg. I think I'll add it to my macros compendium.
A modifier in there might be nice, since some of the time you may not want to blow the whole lot all at once.
It seems like an awesome “OH S**T” button, but I'd still like to be able to use them independently if desired. What have you found?
I really like the setup you have btw. Draenei + engineering + herbalism… sounds awesome for PvP.

Wow, thanks Garwulf. I'm flattered.
Leveling up I originally had GotN and Lifeblood in the same macro, but using different modifiers. It worked great at first since sometimes I'd need a little quick healing, and sometimes a lot.
Neither spell is even close to what a dedicated healer gets though, and at some point past 70 my health outpaced either spells ability to give a lot of HP back. So I just combined them to one 'all included' macro. I'm not an Arena player, but even with the amount of HP I have now from honor gear, I find that combining all three into an 'OH SH*T” button works best for me since I tend to wait until I'm in a real pickle to use it. If I've got the time to spare I'll still use a bandage or eat up. Of course a better player than I with good micro-management skills might still want to make use of them independently.
For what it's worth, most of my offensive abilities have their own keybind, since I do like to control when they get used.
Oh, and being a Draenei means a free +1% to hit too, which never hurt anybody

Thanks, Yes I moved here from the states 8 months ago – unfortuneatly my connection isnt so great but wow is nice way to stay connected to my friends in the states. I also changed servers with 'Auntie' and changed her name to Tepoztlan becuase someother lucky person has her name!
Tepoztlan is a beautiful place.

Yes, it is. Thank you for the story. Some day, it will be on my Must Hike list. That and that lovely Chicxulub crater. My list is miles longer than my budget though, so in the meantime, I'll keep dreaming!
