This one is about a night elf and her encounter with a Ghost Saber.
It seems I may have started something here with the Celestial Steed lore contest. I blame lawman30. 😉
Actually, I thank lawman… 🙂 Also, I thank all of the entrants for submitting such entertaining and enjoyable pieces of fan fiction. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading and publishing these short stories. I’ll no doubt have to introduce another promotion of some sort which involves WoW lore and/or fan fiction.
Reading Hakuro’s story makes me reminisce about being a young Night Elf hunter journeying up and down Darkshore. There were some long runs – especially those involving the scavenger hunt, wild goose chases instigated by the drunk Gnome. However, leveling as a night elf has been by far the most enjoyable for me. Perhaps I’m a little more romantic about it than some, being that my first character in WoW was a Night Elf, but still… I truly enjoy being in Darkshore and Ashenvale. I love those zones.
Pity, those areas are going to be rife with destruction come Cataclysm. Guess I’d better think about another alt, or at the very least, take some final screenshots for posterity.
Come to think of it… I wonder if the Ruins of Mathystra will still be intact? Will the Cat Figurines still be there? My Druid still has one of the statues in his bank that summons a ghost saber ally. 🙂
In my 4 1/2 years of WoW, I’ve still yet to tame one of the Ghost Sabers. I may just have to do that.
Anyway… enjoy Hakuro’s tale…
By the way, I have a feeling there may be more to this story… at least I hope so. 🙂
*looks forward to sequel(s)*
