I just got Arcturis and I was wondering if there was a difference in his health, armor or damage compared to the other 3 spirit beasts? And with that, with regular pets as well in the 3 trees, do they all do the same damage and just have different special abilities?

It is just a diference in pet tree and special abillity. Basically all ferocity pets will hit for the same, but their buffs will have different effects. In pure melee they will be equal, or very close to it. As of now, it's important to choose your pet based on the needs of the group. As Tak pointed out in a recent post, the pet buffs will not stack with other buffs that are similar. The core hound buff won't stack with the shaman buff that does the same thing, so grabbing a different pet like a wolf or whatever will be a better benefit.
Short answer: All pets of the same trees should have the same or at least not a noticeable difference in stats, but their buffs will be different, and that's really what you should be focusing on for pet selection. Hope this helps!
