Eagerly waiting for BM macros

I'm sure they will be on the way, just keep doing what you're doing, relax and enjoy the new stuff! There's plenty of time to stress about things, enjoy gaining new pets!!

I think Gar has posted on his front page that it may take him a while due to some RL issues and has some links in his blogs.

Personally, I think macros should wait until we learn what the new shots are capable of.  This is a time of exploration and growth, and not for jockeying for the finish line.  It could also make you a stronger hunter in the long term.

As a side note, I have found that most of my macros are functioning, outside of a few tweaks.  Perhaps take a peak at yours and see if any need name change adjustments?

This patch caught me with my pants around my ankles.

Once I start getting myself sorted out, I'll be sure to post any updated macros, shot priorities, etc, etc…

It's a real safe bet that one of the specs I'll be focusing on will be BM. As for the other one… I dunno.

I'm reeeaaalllyyy hoping to get some time for this in a few days. Until then… I'll be balls to the wall trying to free up some of my schedule for WoW. 😉

Thanks everyone. What caught me by surprise were the cooldowns which affected my macros. (That and the other addons which are still not working.).

Anyway, I'm having fun. I agree with what Niika said that it's like Christmas morning -- only from a BM hunter's perspective. The _npcscan alert and successful train sounds really get me in a good way - everytime. I've got Humar and Mazzranache now -- will be trying for Aotona and Skoll later tonight. Fun!

Anj, that is great!!!  I started out last night for the white corehound.  Got there, realized my active stable was full.  D'OH!  what a newbie move.  I am not too sure what pets I want, other than the ghost saber in Darkshore.

This will swing off topic here, but figured it fit with Niika's last post.

With Scatter Shot now being given to all specs, I found I didn't have to spec so much into SV anymore. That being said, it free up my second spec, so after some testing I went with BM.  Since I can tame exotics, I've decided to get a few I thought were neat. Top of my list and the first to tame was the white devilsaur from Ungoro Crater. I think he's so nifty looking. As I've run into very few people with the devilsaur out, he gave me a bit of a scare when we were taking a snack and he roared for the first time.

I may decide to take the time to tame some of the spirit beasts. The leopard and tiger being the top interests. Probably going to add a corehound as well.

Yay! Tak's coming over to the light side, good to have you brother! I know that feeling of hearing the first Devilsaur roar lol, I was fishing and decided to turn the sound on because usually I have it muted, and all of the sudden ROAR! I pooped a bit, and looked around to see what happened and then cracked up when I realized it was The Duke lol.

Man nothing beats hunting for rares, I'm trying to put a list together myself, but am trying not to get too sucked into the excitement...and still keep my job and all that is :). Happy hunting Tak!

In response to Anj's topic title, I've created a few new macros. Nothing revolutionary really, but it seems that Focus Fire is the new Kill Command (with Kill Command now being the new Arcane Shot in our rotation).

Anyway… here's what my new shot macros look like:

#showtooltip Steady Shot
/cast !Auto Shot
/cast Focus Fire
/cast Steady Shot
/script UIErrorsFrame:Clear()

I've done this for SerpS, Steady and Arcane Shot. I've also added it to BW.

It basically just ensures that you are constantly using up Focus Fire when it's up, maintaining the Haste buff.

There may be rare occasions where you may not want to use it, but those are pretty rare. I'm going to go with the BM for Dummies method first, then begin to fine tune once I figure out what the hell is going on. :-
