Last night I was going to do my JC daily and stopped at the stable in Dalaran en route to Howling Fjord. I Grabbed my new silithid, my corehound (beast), King Mosh, and my tiger. I didnt bother to summon before I left so when I got there I tried to summon my corehound and it said " You have no pet to summon" Confused I hit it a few more times and same result. Tried all other pets I had with me and the only one I could summon was my tiger. ( and YES I was in BM spec) Flew back to Dalaran in a very sour mood and tried to summon ALL my rares I had tamed. The ONLY one I can summon is Arcturis (thank God), I am both royally pissed and relieved. Pissed that all my hard work is down the toilet, relieved that atleast Arcturis is still available in my stable. I wrote to blizz and have yet to hear back. Has anyone else been having problems summoning pets? ALOT of hard work went into taming some of those, especially my no longer and elite corehound!! My hunter is my favourite toon but its really disheartening when stupidity like this happens.
I remember a similar problem during the first few weeks of WotLK: cannot summon pets, missing pets, and even the same pets in the stable. It happened to me and if I remember right, the GM's suggestion was to update all addons (or delete them for the meantime), go back to the default UI, and clear/delete the Cache folder too. It worked for me back then so I hope this solves the problem for you...
I usually have trouble summoning my pets, unless I open a can of tuna or Fancy Feast - then they come running.
Lately my biggest problem has been dismissing one of my pets from my office chair. The tabby has become quite partial to it.
😉
I've had no trouble summoning my pets. They're always on aggressive though, these cichlids...

Ba dum dum
I had this problem a week or so back whenever I went to the stables and switched pets around. Try logging out and back in again, that seemed to fix it for me:) At least until I went to the stables again...
It's happend to me a couple of times as well. I went back into stables and just switched there positioning around and it seemed to fix the problem.

Cichlids are aweswome. Years ago I had a tank full of African Cichlids.
Eventually one of them became the alpha and went Hannibal Lechter on the rest of them, but for awhile there I loved that setup. The next best thing to a salt tank, IMO.
I had a tank with one of these guys in it a while back, and his diet consisted of little goldfish lovingly called feeder fish. I left for Easter vacation or something like, I can't remember, but I know it was a short one, so I left my little guy with a half dozen feeder fish to tie him over. So I comes back from vacation and all that is left is a skeleton at the bottom of my tank and 6 very fat goldfish...true story.
Now that's funny. Hunter becoming the hunted.
I guess the moral of the story is, don't underestimate the goldfish's resourcefulness and ability to rally against all odds.

They 6-fished him, huh? But don't worry, a skeleton always means a recovered corpse…
LOL thanks guys. Yes I have tried all of the things mentioned and now several days later have yet to hear from Blizz about it...I'm really apprehensive about taming any other pets since the ones I want are the hardest to find. Still play my hunter daily though, just love her to bits.
This is a known issue, i submitted a ticket about it and was told the devs are aware of it and will be fixing it 'soon'.
In the meantime let me explain what is probably happening to you guys. When you pull pets out of the stable it tags those pets as being in a specific 'Call Pet' slot #1-5. If you put that pet back into the stable without dismissing it the game never registers that Call Pet slot as being empty, so when you try to summon a pet it forces you to try to call a pet from that slot thinking there's still a pet in there and that's the one you're trying to summon. Since the slot is now empty you get an error, but since you can't summon a pet to dismiss him and switch to a different slot you're stuck in the error and have to go to a stable master and move a pet into that slot so you can get out of it. When you move a pet into that 'Call Pet' slot the game should force you to summon that pet and be unable to summon the pets you have in your other slots, but as long as the slot is empty you'll continue to get the error and be unable to summon any pets. If you swap the pet with another it should force you to summon that pet and be unable to summon any other pet till you dismiss it so the game registers that pet as inactive thus allowing you to summon a pet from another slot.
The work around to this problem is to just not put a pet back in the stable while you have it summoned, always dismiss your active pet before moving it around in the Call Pet slots or putting it back in the stable. To be sure you're never completely unable to summon any pets always keep all your available Call Pet slots full so that if you do run into the error you can summon the pet in the slot that's causing it and dismiss the pet to get out of the error cycle. If you're like me and don't have a full stable yet and are still on the look out for pets to tame, you need to be very aware that this bug exists and take the necessary steps to avoid it so you can keep a Call Pet slot open for taming.
This bug also happens to be the reason why you need to try to summon a dead pet whose corpse has despawned and get the 'your pet is dead' error before you can use Raise Pet. This I've found to be highly annoying while learning all these new instances on Heroic because it's adding clicks/button presses that I shouldn't have to do in a situtation where I'm probably already very annoyed and it just make it all worse. 🙁

Just tamed a corehound too and he only stays for a few seconds. I tried feeding healing and everything but he is not around long enough to get these things. Any suggestions ? Ii had no addons when i tamed him and he did the same thing at that time.
