You BM Hunters (especially Gar) may have a convert on your hands. After spending the last few months getting kicked around by other classes I decided to take the plunge and respec'd my pvp spec to BM. I've been giving it a good run the past few days working on getting used to it. After tonight and wrecking a Rogue solo 3-4 times in a row solo I'm thinking of staying BM. It really rocks now that I have a spirit beast. I have a heal, woot!
I will try to log out in my PvP spec and gear. Any changes I should make?

Most all of the BM PvP specs I see go into the MM tree, where as I go 10 points deep into SV for Survival Tactics and Entrapment.
This spec/glyph combo provides me with very low cooldowns on two of my main defensive abilities — Disengage & Deterrence. Plus, the 4 second root is absolutely pure win.
If I was going hardcore burst for arena, then I may go into the MM tree for increased pet focus & damage, but the spec I use gives me loads of control, while still providing great burst damage.
I need to write a post about it…

I'm finding I need to lean more towards "survival" rather then burst, so I just pretty much copied your PvP spec. Do I need to change any gear stats, gems, etc with switching to BM?
While I've not done much testing or anything with it, I'm totally on board with switching from SV to BM for PvP. BM has been my off spec since Wrath and I've no plans to change. I may be spending more time in teh near future PvPing since my raiding guild is possibly dissolving and I'll be spending some time getting a feel again for BM and the joy of shooting Alliance players in the face!

Not really... the same rules apply to PvP as they do in PvE. Just grab as much crit as you can by way of reforging.
Ok, this isn't a PvP question, but since this post is about my recent switch to BM, I will post the question here. 13k dps on target dummy, 12k in heroic run. Femaledwarf.com says current gear,spec, pet, etc. I can potentially be doing over 15k. This sound about right?
