Here is something I wrote for my guild that introduces my character into the coming of the Cataclysm. It's not the caliber of writing that Niika did, but I saw Gar's post about sharing stuff like this and figured I would get the ball rolling.
The sun is setting in the distance, as a soft breeze rustles the leaves in the tree I sit perched in. I close my eyes, taking in nature's glory. A stirring in the bushes below breaks me from my reprieve. I look down with a slight smile as my constant companion, Spaz, stretches from a nap he was taking. Not many would disturb such a pair, a forest troll and his hyena.
The sound of someone coming down the path below us brings us both alert. Spaz disappears into the underbrush. I meld into the shadows of the tree, drawing my bow and knocking an arrow. The many dangers of Azeroth have honed my hunting skills to perfection. There is not much that could approach me without my knowledge.
Spaz sits ready in a nearby bush. I signal him to hold as a figure steps into the clearing in front of me. By physical build I can tell the figure is male and a troll. Many animal skins cover his body as well as bones. It could only be a Shaman. Only they wear such trappings; magical atrifacts that allow them to “speak” with the spirits of the land. I lower my bow and quietly unhook my arrow, sliding it back into my quiver. This one is not a threat, at least not to me.
The figure pulls off the hood covering his face. “Ah have come as ya asked Takaas. I know ya be lerkin' about out dare. Ya need not be hidin' from me.” I drop from my perch in the tree to the ground and step out into the clearing. The Shaman bows to me as I approach him. Spaz dashes past me to nuzzle the Shaman's hand like a big puppy, prompting him for a good belly rub. I bow to the Shaman.
“It be good seein' ya Tamakis. ah would not oh asked ya old bones to come out of ya warm hut if it was not important.” Tamakis nods at me. “Ah admit ah was a bit surprised when ah got word ya was wantin' ta speak wit me. It is not often anyone be gettin' word from ya.” I look off into the distance as I speak. “Der is sometin' ah need ta speak wit ya about, sometin only a powerful Shaman such as yerself might comfirm.”
Tamakis looks me in the eyes. “Ah see der be sometin' botherin' ya and sence it be sometin' bad.” I return his gaze as I take a seat on the ground before him. “Da animals of da forest, dey be worryin' about sometin'. I sence a fear about dem. A fear dat grips even dah most ferocious of dem. Ah can't pinpoint what it be, but dey aren't fer likin' it.”
Tamakis pulls a pouch from his belt and sprinkles a bit of its contents in a small fire he has started. “Indeed Takaas, ya feelins be servin' ya well. Ah to have sensed a disturbance, but ah feel it comin' from da earth itself. Sometin' bad is comin'. Sometin' very bad. It cloaks itself in darkness so dat even de most powerful Shamans cannot see what it is.” He pauses for a moment, looking a bit disturbed. “Ah can tell you dis doh, it be sometin' powerful, even more den de Lich King himself.”
I shudder to myself, lapsing into a silence. It is not good news. Many will not be coming back from the battle with the Lich King and he has yet to be defeated. How will we deal with this new coming evil?

Celika, everyone can, it is just streaming your dreams out of your veins so that others can see the dance in your mind. And I haven't published it here, but on the Blizzard rp forums, with Gar giving me that raised-eyebrow look that a Dad has when he knows better. rofl
Tak, thank you. It's ten times easier to jump, when someone jumps with you. <3 I am really impressed with how you can handle the language and tone of voice. Nicely done, and looking forward to more.

I plan to add more once more things are introduced in game. With the elemental invasion happening now, there may be more coming, but rest assured it isn't done.
As for handling the language. I wasn't kidding when I said I was a troll “freak”. I know lots of things about them that others don't. I've had lots of practise playing the part.

* claps excitedly *
That was brilliant Takaas! You need to explore this RP stuff some more – you have a knack for it.
Hopefully you get around to continuing this, because I want more..!
Hmmm… may be getting time to do another one of these…

With a different prize perhaps.
I love reading this stuff.
I hear Niika's a pretty good RP'er as well, but then again… I've yet to see any of her work around here. *raises eyebrow* *taps foot*

you total freaking tease, gar. you know i want that mount. *glares back at the foot tapping*
Cel, could totally see your char in role play. I think you would do a great job.
i've thought of hauling Shandra (my nelf huntress) into the forums. I'll have to ask her partner. I have to be careful what I put Niika into, just to keep all her stories straight. Or, I could start new.

I've been hankering to unleash the writer and present, “The Darwynn Rewards“, and a contest might just do it!

Yes, we do, dork. Last time we saw you, you were on a drunken bender, and came back bleary eyed. You stared at us darkly, uttered a few dangerous words, accepted responsibility, and slunk back into the forest, your wounds bloodied, your arrow knocked. Do tell?

Yeah, I know.
I felt like a complete tool afterward. All I could think to do was stay away for a while. There's really no other excuse, and it wont happen again.
Living as a drunkard in the forest alone isn't fun.

hahaa that's why you need ME to bust on you for it! hehehe!
So, should you start a new thread and tell us how you are liking the new hunter changes? *hint hint* OR! feel free to pop into my PVP thread i'm about to post. I'm woefully lacking in horde support outside of our renegade hunter tank around here.
