The last time I even SAW this bird was the first day he was live in-game. A horde hunter ganked me after my fall while I was still flagged PvP after doing Molten Front dailies and he STOLE MY BIRD!
So I logged in at 1:30 a.m. server time and HE'S RIGHT FREAKING ABOVE ME!!!! There is no other hunter around. I am fully buffed (i.e. haste food, Kings Drums, Stam scroll, etc.). I lay my frost trap on the head of the Malorne statue (I know, I know…you take less damage at the top of the tree…well that's if you can land on the tree and I can't, so Malorne statue it is). I fly up, I turn around to engage the bird (BIG mistake), shoot him, fall, survive and get PASTED by the Moonbeam as my trap is now BEHIND me and doesn't trap the bird. O M F G !!!!!
I fly back and rez only to find a troll hunter sitting on top of the tree WITH MY BIRD IN A FROST TRAP!!! As I bemoan my luck and stupidity I notice that, despite having the bird in the trap, the troll is not taming him. In fact, he's not doing anything. I start racing the trap timer by buffing back up. I am pretty much only able to get back to full health from bandaging and a pot as the trap wears off and the bird turns the troll into a Moonbeam s'more.
I lay my trap, fly up, engage the bird, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand fall to my death. That's right, I don't even survive the fall. Ugh! I am the WORST hunter ever.
I fly back, rez and notice that the troll has nto rezzed yet. OK. Deep breath. Do this right. I start buffing up. The troll appears and flys up towards the top of his tree. Race time. I know I'll get a shot off before he will if he's waiting for the bird to come in range of the tree. Lay a trap. Mount up. Crap! I forgot King Drums! Fly down. Do Kings. Fly back up. Engage bird. Fall. Survive. Hit Deterrence. I eat one Moonbeam and I see the blessedly sweet image of the bird in the trap as my tame is going off. I look at my HP to see that I am taming the bird with 323 HP left!!! The tame completes and the troll yells something in troll as he flings himself off the top of the tree to his death.
I am now aided in my adventures by the great and powerful Oz!

Congrats Lawman30. He is A; The coolest of the new spirits n B; The most fun to tame. Players who do it from the statue are tougher n cooler. As for being the worst hunter ever, please don't steal my thunder-that's my title.
Now thanking Ozolin, well that's just mean….

Is there a “sacrasm” font I can use?
I second this motion. I think a sarcasm font would be AWESOME. And I mean that. I'm not being sarcastic. It would be fun to abuse.

Sarcasm font or no, my ability to hone a single blonde strand nested inside of this mane of darkness would completely negate it's obviousness my brain may glean from the message.

It is true Ozolin that being of a smaller stature dwarves have limitations and certain vulnerablities. Particularly this dwarf. Of course the flip side is that while we may get shot at a lot, oft times the shooter misses entirely given our diminuitive stature. On the otherhand, I’ve found that certain elves; with their lithsome bodies, lovely locks and admirable height while not getting shot as often as dwarves, do, given their enviable height, seem to get shot directly in the face-often on a regular basis , usually crits and simply don’t realize they have indeed been shot in the face.

Well jeez Ozolin, I'm not too sure about that. I, metaphorically speaking do it to you on a regular basis and you keep comin back for more. You're like the Energizer Bunny of WoW.
Boy did we hijack this thread in a superb fashion.

And Niik, are you talking about the muse ego not being trumped? because i gotta agree with ya there
Do not make me take off my shoes and thwap you….I like these heels – there is just enough of a slope between the ball of my foot and the heel I can stride comfortably yet make sure those who know me know I am coming and I'm not happy.

Lawman – grats on the tame! I've only seen him once and have killed myself I don't know how many times trying to stand on the tree. Now that I know I don't have to stand on the tree (Thank you Agio) I will go back to keeping an eye out for him.
Was reading this post while someone was trying to talk to me – couldn't stop the giggle that escaped when I read “turns the troll into a Moonbeam s'more”.
