Hi, I'm new to the site! Nice to meet you all! 
Basically I'd like to be targeting an enemy and have the macro Misdirect my focus (or pet if no focus is set but I can live without this park since I can set pet to focus when solo) and apply Hunter's Mark to the target with no shots fired or anything. I don't mind clicking twice if I have to because of the GCD. A bonus would be an exception for HM if it already exists on target. Thanks guys.
Here's what I use to kick off most fights:
/assist Focus
/cast Hunter's Mark
/petattack
/startattack
The focus usually being the tank of course. The only advice I offer, is to be careful, some tanks get tab target happy, and if you hit this macro and they've targeted a mob in the next bunch or something, your pet will go off and start eating on that mob when your group is ready, and then they're all staring at you like you're an idiot...so just be careful. 9 times out of 10 it works great though, hope it helps!
I use this for misdirection:
/cast [@focus, exists, nodead] [@pet, exists, nodead] misdirection
This will cast misdirection on my focus (usually the tank) or on my pet if I have no focus or the tank has died. I haven't messed with it, but you can use modifiers like ctrl+click, alt+click, or shift+click to make one macro act differently based on the modifier pressed.
