Can someone please help me with keybinds and macros? I feel like I am wasting something here. I would like to try to minimize my clicking and add more useful stuff to my bar or lessen one bar.

Any help would be much appreciated

At the top of the page you'll see a header devoted entirely to Hunter Macros-maybe give it a read. Garwulf is all about optimization and he provides a detailed explanation as to what macro commands do. The sheer number of macros available for hunters may make your head explode so you decide which you need. Personally I can't be bothered to have 75 macros, that's a lot like a job *shrug*

Those with more experience will hopefully reply to you but here's some basic stuff I gleaned when I came to the same conclusion you have come to, mainly from here.

Keybinds are for the most part personal preference and depending for what-PvE or PvP. There isn't any set formula. Well I think someone sells an optimization keybind program for WoW but that I don't count as I ain't buying it. Right now alll my binds are PvP oriented but once you have the muscle memory down you can swap PvE abilities/Macros into the slots and you will need less in PvE so you'll be able to use the rare keyboard real estate more efficiently.

The only keys I use for movement are Q/E for strafing (everything else is mouse movement) and have built around that. I 'think' I have backpedal on X, dunno never use it. Others build around AD. I can effectively use F1-F4, 1-5, Q to T, A-G, Z-V for anything that matters. The less used abilities, long cooldowns and shots I have in modifiers or in the tough to get keys. Hunters, especially in PvP need a stupid amount of macros and keybinds or click macros, whatever. Keyboard real estate is in short supply.

Really it's whatever you are comfortable with. From my own experience try not to bind everything at once-oy much headaches. Then it's really a matter of practice, quite a bit actually. Hell I'm still learning and mucking about with it.

I've often admitted to being an altoholic, so I had to develop a way to design keybinds around my affiction. Hence, all my characters and classes share the same setup, albeit with some minor diferences.

F1 Hunters - Feign Death, all others Nuke macro

F2 Hunters - Nuke Macro, Shamans - Call of Earth, Others secondary (minor) nuke/racial

F3 Hunters - Master'sCall, Shamans - Call of Ancestors, Others - Racial ability or escape trinket

F4 Hunters - Misdirect, Shamans - Call of Spirit, Others - second trinket, absorb, etc

F5-8 Healing type spells

F9 Stop macro - stops casting, attacking, recalls pet

F10 Set Focus macro

F11

F12 Rez macro (drink flask, set armor, etc as required)

1   Pull type spell/macro

2   Opening move if melee, Serpent Sting, etc

3   Main shot/strike or macro

4   Follow up or secondary shot/strike

5  Finishng move (Kill Shot)

6  Stun etc (Concussive Shot)

7  Debuff of some sort (Tranquilizing Shot)

8  Trap Launcher - other not used often spells

9  Not used often spell

10 Flare or another not used often spell

Q Defensive move, spell etc (Disengage)

Shift W Scare Beast

E Defensive move, spell etc

R Interupt (Scatter Shot)

T AOE spell/shot etc Multi-Shot

Y Targeted spell (Hunter - Camoflague) Shaman - Frog, Mage - Sheep etc

F Always Quickness Potion PVP - Haste Potion PVE

G Mount

H Hearth

Z Mend Pet, Mana for casters

X Heal Pot

V Aspect switch, stance switch etc

Good luck

D
