This latest patch took me from consistently top 2 in 25's (behind another mm hunter who is beyond badass with the same gear as me yet WON'T tell anyone what he is doin differently! ugh), to being lucky if i make the top 6! I'm gettin out DPS'd (and more painfully, out damaged overall) by a freakin rogue now! That has never happened, EVER! Don't think blizz realizes how quickly a raid can burn thru that first 10% of a boss's health *sigh* Focused aim no longer seems worth the points.

Anyone actually enjoy this latest patch?
I haven't raided since the last patch. My work schedule got changed to nights, so I'm unable to attend any of the guild raids. That being said, as of such I have had no reason to keep track of my dps. I've been mostly running Fireland dailies and PvPing as BM.
One gripe I do have with the last patch is that the "assist" stance for pets is screwed up. My pet will run off to attack some random enemy that I haven't even attacked of has not even been aggroed.
I've not done many 25s and while I would guess that my DPS might not be the top in one of those, in my guild's 10-man runs I'm pretty consistently 1-2 as far as DPS. I bring a lot of utility as Survival and have rarely had a problem hanging with or beating MM so I've never been asked to switch or come as anything other than SV.
Only think I didn't like, tbh, was that they nerfed the CRAP out of the T11 raid content when 4.2 released. Small details I guess, but fights like Al'Akir were almost stupid easy after the nerfs.
I still don't like how they changed the Defensive stance, regardless of whether it's now working as intended or not. I don't like the Assist stance because my pet will no longer attack my target unless I take damage first (kind of the point NOT to take damage as ranged DPS!) OR I send him in manually, which I think detracts from my DPS uptime, quite frankly. I'm thinking I could work up a macro to solve this, but in reality there are some situation where the current mode actually IS better. I'm just complaining cause I was used to the way it worked before 😛
I'm enjoying it immensely, mind you, I'm playing a Feral druid as my main, and I'm almost always one of the top two...

Player Skill and Latency have a lot to do with how well two people of the same class and gearing measure up against each other, an example I can think of was how I went into a raid in wrath(just after the nerf that pitched BM to the bottom of the charts) as a fresh 80 hunter and literally obliterated everyone else in the raid, as Survival.
