Every so often I decide to do stuff without my furry friend around. Not in instances or raids mind you, but when I'm out doing dailies or farming mats for some sorts. With my current gear I can pretty much two or three shot most anything out there. Serpent sting, concussive shot, chimera and then aimed if chimera doesnt finish them off.
I have tried that a few times and feel sort of lost without my pet around. I do like to drag out my BM pets that seem to spend all their time caged up since I have been so focused on ICC. The Devilsaur waddle still makes me smile.
Heh, most of the time it's like my pet isn't even there when I do dailies, sometimes I like to kite some of the harder stuff, but for the most part, stuff dies before my pet even get's near it.
it's weird, being able to one shot things, at end game. It's cute when one of the lower hunters asks for some help, and I try to show them, but i can't get into a shot rotation, unless I put on rp gear. Then they are in awe, and I'm like "dude, it's just luck of the drops, you will be here as well."
i always feel naked without my pet, even if it's just following me as I destroy stuff, I like having him around, maybe some alone time will be good, I'm becoming codependent.
ROFL!!!!! wouldn't it be funny to have a pet named Codependent? Wait... no, that would only be funny to like... five of us in the game now. Hmmm... what about Constant (companion?) No.... that isn't funny, that's just cute. OOH!!!! How about Familiar... like for a witch? YES!!!! omg... now I know what I am going to name my new black panther!!! 😀
Lol that's awesome! I'm totally naming the next pet I get codependent...I didn't even think of that lol...love it!!
with your profession, you totally have to do that!
Niika runs with both a vanity pet and regular pet all the time (have an addon that loads it for me, unless I am in a raid.) And I have a penchant for running in the streets rather than motorcycling (I like to bounce, it makes me happy.) At any rate, it always looks like she's hauling a zoo along, with Purr at her side, and a bird flying above her (do not ask my why the owls proc in my addon whenever I have a cat out. It's hilarious to me...)
I would like to be able to have more than 1 vanity pet out at a time. I have acquired several birds and it would be neat to have them all out at once.
